For context, at 14 I was sentenced to juvenile life for killing my momâs abusive boyfriend after he hurt my sister (I got sentenced because I waited at his house for a long time and when he arrived I killed him, thus making it pre-meditated since I had ample time to take other actions) and spent 2 years in a juvenile detention center and the rest in a high-security placement facility.
Now when I have conversations with new people, theyâll go into their life story including adolescence and I just tell them âmy teens were rough. I donât want to talk about itâ which works, but some people are becoming close friends and I feel like after sometime if I donât say anything, theyâll find out and cut me off.
Should I just be straight up and just have the conversation? I did with my current gf, so I guess I could just do that.
