Notification Madness!

Notification madness
I searched and didn’t find a solution but if someone knows of a previous post asking the same, please direct me!
I guess it’s two issues: 1- I have a consistent notification but there is no new activity on the app to notify me about.
2- I get pop ups “xyz just liked you” but when I go to look, there is nothing. Three days later, bam! 7 people “liked” me in one day. Not likely.
Any suggestions? If deleting and reloading the app will help, I will do it.
