So I ended up reinstalling Fedora (33) a week ago because in the old install (my first Linux distro install ever) I kind of messed up by installing and running most of the terminal commands with sudo su.
Now with the fresh install, everything is buggy. My PC suddenly freezes at least once every few hours, requiring a restart (these freezes happened very rarely with the old install and never with Windows).
Trying to share my screen in videocalls is pointless (Google Meet, MS Teams, Slack), because the only things my fellows and teachers see is a blank screen and my mouse pointer.
Steam refuses to launch most games in my library. Games that were working impressively fine with Proton in my old Fedora install now simply don't launch.
VLC plays videos only when it decides I deserve it. Launching video files with the basic Videos app is fine, but if I try to skip forward, the stream just stops.
I installed Fedora this time just as I installed it the first time. I wiped my whole SSD from the installer menu and clicked install.
Will a third install solve anything? Is there a "magic" troubleshooter which could do something? It's frustrating.
