Problems with fedora
Post Body

Hello there,

I would like to start by saying that I am pretty much of a noob on linux and just consider myself as a normal user, who just wants privacy, security and freedom.

Anyways, I have been having some problems recently on fedora 38 and I dont know where to look or how to fix it, on my laptop I sometimes have slow boots, sometimes normal boots, whenever I open an app like discord it takes ages and lags the entire computer, I tried updating to fedora 39 but it only made things worse, it was almost like the laptop hated being on (lol), loads and loads of 100% cpu usage spikes on a clean build, after that I moved back to F38 and been using it with those few problems.

my laptop hardware is old but not awful, Intel i7-8550U (8) @ 4.000GHz with 8 gb of ram.

what is my next move here ? do I try F39 again ? do I run a command that will better show me the way ?

also, since I am already here, how is the nvidia driver situation on fedora ? I've been meaning to move from popOS on my desktop pc to fedora, but I dont know how it would work out.

thanks a lot.
