We Love Whales

Whale /(h)wāl/ (noun). a very large marine mammal with a streamlined hairless body, a horizontal tail fin, and a blowhole on top of the head for breathing. In the crypto world, whales refer to individuals or entities that hold large amounts of a specific cryptocurrency.

As part of my MIT (moderator-in-training), I was tasked to monitor how these whales swim through the FatCake ocean. Wondering why it is crucial? Well, one of the many reasons is that whales can control the valuation of a crypto, in our case, $FatCake. They are like other majority asset holders: their movements have outsized impacts on a market, either through increased volatility, decreased liquidity, or a combination of both.

Nuff lecture. I have been whale-watching for three days now and here's how they are doing so far:

Top 20 Holders

Looking at their balances, fortunately for the FatCake Fam, our beloved whales are at peace. Only two of the top 20 had a major activity for the past three days. Two possible reasons of their balance decrease: (1) they may have pulled out or (2) they may have staked their shares.

(Fun Fact: When staking was initially introduced, I staked all my shares. Checking at the FatCake bscscan holders, my wallet became zero after the activity. They were transferred temporarily to another wallet.)

As what BlackBeard has pointed out in his latest post (FatCake - August 20, 2021) despite "losing" holders, our market cap still went up. This explains the activity of these two whales: we didn't lose them; no major dip in the Poocoin graph, that's why our cap is still soaring. Most probably that their FatCake balances were at stake.

This also proves that our whales are contented and satisfied with FatCake's progress to continue hodling their shares. Surely the dev team still has exciting undertakings to offer to keep our whales as happy as a clam.
