Group of friends visiting in September. Tips for accomodation?

Hey guys, so my friends and I (between 3 and 5 people depending on their availabilities) are planning to fly from Paris and stay there for a bit more than a week. We are thinking about what type of accomodation would be preferred. Any cheap hotel suggestions in Tórshavn, or would it be easier to stay at an AirBnb for the week, or even living with a family for a week and learn the Faroese culture with them too? Open to any suggestions! Thanks :)
