Post Body

It's a great set of books, and I've been reading them since I was a kid. I wish they weren't (apparently) going to end soon. But the question that bothers me every time I read them is this - why does every fight involving a rapier end the same way? Every time, our slightly outmatched hero (characters vary) leans forward with one hand on the floor, and impales his opponent, who flails above the hero with their sword. Why?
