Now before I get abused I myself have had Bruno in my own draft for some time. But I am not fully convinced by picking him. I feel like going with another player like Son Sancho/Mahrez is better than Bruno a 7-7.5m pick.

Hear me out. These high priced premium picks genuinely arent much value unless when you captain them. Now I dont see a case for making Bruno a captain in many of the starting game weeks. Most will have Salah for game weeks 1 and 2. And then gameweek 3 looks like the only game where you wouldnt cap salah and you could easily cap a player like Son. I personally just think Bruno price is just too high for someone you could only captain once in like the first 5-6 game weeks. (That would be in game week 3 vs Wolves and even then I feel like Son vs Watford would be a better pick)

In addition to this high value he may see a drop off in possible points this season. Hes definitely still man utds main man and penalty taker but with the addition of Sancho and Lingard coming back you could see many of his open play goals and assists taken off him bu the likes of Cavani (like we saw at the end of last season when he was on fire), Sancho who was literally a world class talent at Dortmund who performed at a high level in both the Bundesliga and the ucl. You could say Bundesliga tax or whatever as shown by Havertz and Werner but even then Havertz looks like hes ready for a big season now and if Werner had that bit more confidence he couldve easily tapped in like another 7-8 of all those open goals he missed. In addition to this the theory of it takes time for a new transfer shouldnt really apply too much to Sancho. Hes been in England before and played throughout the City youth academy (where he done very well) and he shouldnt have a problem with feeling at home or anything in England. In addition to this hes already player with a few of him teammates with England so I reckon it wont take much time at all for him to gel in.

Another reason you could go for BruNO would be if Utd sign a CDM and switch to a 433 where Bruno would play much more deep and even possibly as a 8. This however is only in the case of United signing a CDM unless Matic takes some performance enhancing drugs.

Going for players like Son, Sancho or Mahrez over Bruno could provide much more value. Son has been on fire in pre season and Kane doesnt look like he is currently going anywhere which just makes him even more of an attacking threat and Mahrez also has been excellent in pre season and with other players still resting or injured he looks like hes set to start and excel. Sancho could very easily get off to a good start for all the reason I had listed above earlier too.

But in the end BruNO would still be a risk and could have a very nice reward.
