I have not been doing this for very long but over the last couple seasons i keep wanting to play 5 at the back. It seems very cost efficient as far as points go and for 30million i can get 5 players who chipped in for almost 800 pts last season. My problem is, ALL my friends say i am crazy for wanting to do this. They cite templates, they cite loss of flexibility, they cite reliance on CS's and defenders scoring and they cite my obvious lack of footballing IQ for even thinking this could work.
Has anyone tried it and had much success? I managed to put together what i thought was a pretty solid back 5(TAA-Doherty-Bertrand-Vinagre and Stevens). I still had enough to throw Auba,Salah,Alli,Ings and Jimenez. It seems like it should work but everyone tells me it won't.
I guess, i am looking at you guys and gals who have far more experience in this than this new to the sport Canadian does to point me in the right direction on why this is such a bad idea for all my friends?
