He has so far started all 4 games for Liverpool and looks like he is slowly solidifying his spot in the team. Jota looks more like a striker and we see Gakpo being played more so either uptop or in the midfield. This leaves Diaz with much less competition for the left wing spot thus upping his minutes potential.

He has accumulated a very respectable expected goal or assist of 0.58 per 90. This ranks him very highly in the list of players for this stat. He has very good goal threat and with Salah now looking to be more of a creator in the team, we could see Luis Diaz be the one to replace some of his goals. Liverpool still look like a very good team and have one of the best attacks in the league. To have the starting left winger in a team like that seems like a great chance for points.
