I think I will start posting this regularly just because why not. I personally like to take the more risky differential picks in Fpl and will be writing up about one everyday.
Todays first pick at just 4.5% is Awoniyi. Forests starting striker has now returned in every Gameweek so far and looks like a gem at just 6.6m. Prior to the Chelsea game (where he still returned with an assist) Awoniyi had extended his scoring streak to seven matches, thereby breaking Forest's 28-year record of goals in consecutive matches. He also became the third African player to score in seven successive EPL games — following in the footsteps of Emmanuel Adebayor and Mohamed Salah. He looked like he was on a sneaky run to breaking Vardy’s record.
He is on an XGI of 0.78 per 90 and has managed returns vs Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd. Even if his fixtures aren’t great (even though it’s one top 6 team to play until Gameweek 10) he has proven that he can return in any given game.
To support how clinical and even maybe fixture proof he is, last season he had managed 11 Fpl returns in just 17 starts giving a return nearly every 0.65 games in a perhaps weaker forest attack and with less regular game time to build up form.
On top of this Forest look like they have a reliable attack with the likes Gibbs White and Elanga and I don’t think they will be slowing down soon. I feel like he could possibly be one to just set and forget at such a cheap price and he’s one in my team.
