AEW Dynamite (Post-DON)
Coming off the biggest win of his career, Wardlow has finally felt a sensation he hasn't felt since arriving to AEW - freedom. With that said, AEW Dynamite kicks off with the WarDog standing in the ring, already with a microphone in hand. He says that he's spent three years wasting his potential and refuses to continue. He demands to take on the Best In The World! However, before this challenge is answered, he's interrupted...
As "Ghost Town Triumph '' begins to blare over the PA System, the former AEW World Champion takes centerstage and joins Wardlow in the ring, staking his claim to the title he held days prior. This causes bickering between the two, as they both desire to be next in line for the promotion's top title. This doesn't come to its conclusion until FTR walks out from the back, claiming that neither individual can dethrone a skillful athlete, such as CM Punk. Instead of continuing to bicker with eachother, both decided to work with one another - starting next week.

FTR vs. Hangman Page & Wardlow
We get this odd pairing facing off with one of the best tag teams in the world. Hangman and Wardlow have some tension, which FTR exploited. Somehow, though, the rivals manage to pick up the win. They have no time to celebrate, though, as they're immediately ambushed by Jeff Cobb and Great O'Khan, from NJPW! Could we see this odd pairing take on the United Empire at Forbidden Door?

Forbidden Door
Jeff Cobb & Great O'Khan vs. Hangman Page & Wardlow
Walking into this PPV, both Page and Wardlow might've imagined themselves in a higher-profile contest, possibly for the top title. However, with their futures dependent on their performances, teaming with one another doesn't seem too far-fetched now. Unfortunately, tension between both competitors continues to rise, leading to their downfall.

Following their loss, Hangman is seen on the apron, with a frustrated expression is shown upon his face, he proceeds to lay out Wardlow with a BUCKSHOT LARIAT!
All Out
Following Hangman's emotional disturbance, the rivalry between Wardlow and Hangman officially begins, causing weeks of verbal attacks. In one interaction, Hangman vows to take the title that he once carried. On the other side of things, Wardlow states that he can understand the frustration Hangman feels, but he won't be used as a stepping stone again.
Wardlow vs. Hangman Page
It's a big fight here in Chicago! Two of AEW's finest look for the victory, and that becomes clear by the back-and-forth contest. Coming out on top means wonders to these two, and after multiple attempts to seal the deal, Hangman eventually makes a costly error, prompting Wardlow to land a Powerbomb Symphony!

As soon as the bout came to a close, Wardlow's celebration came to an abrupt ending, as BCC came rushing into the ring! A surprise attack on Wardlow, and a message was sent.
Grand Slam/Full Gear
As we witnessed back at All Out, the next chapter isn’t bright. For the next couple of weeks, Blackpool Combat Club attempted to make Wardlow's life miserable, unwarranted attacks filling each show, as they make sure to remind him that even without Max, his freedom will come at a cost. On the go-home show, Wardlow takes to the ring, and demands that at Grand Slam, he wants one member of BCC, so he can exact revenge.
Wardlow vs. Wheeler Yuta
BCC has chosen their youngest recruit to be fed to the wolves, as Wheeler Yuta steps up to the challenge! Yuta goes straight after his opposition, and holds the momentum, before it seemingly vanishes. From there, it's almost written in stone, as Wardlow demolishes Yuta and claims the victory!

In the wake of Wardlow’s victory, BCC won't allow their prospect's defeat to cripple them. From there, Moxley makes it clear that he’s next in line for the WarPig. As the torment continues for weeks, it all comes to a head on the go-home, as the two are found brawling in the parking lot, barely being separated!
Wardlow vs. Jon Moxley
In his biggest match to date, Wardlow took the fight to Moxley, unlike anyone we’ve seen before. After 20 minutes of intense action, the conclusion almost came to be, with a PARADIGM SHIFT … BUT NO! Wardlow makes sure he didn't find himself in that situation, and instead found a chance at victory, giving Moxley only his fourth singles loss!

Winter Is Coming
Wardlow is on a run of a lifetime, but his past continues to catch up to him. After making his want for gold clear, he makes it known on the following Dynamite, as he issues a challenge to Scorpio Sky! He reminds Wardlow of his loss earlier in the year, saying a rematch isn’t difficult.
From there, it's made official that Wardlow will be given his opportunity at this year's Winter Is Coming! As the two go back-and-forth on the stick, Scorpio says for the past three years, Wardlow choked every opportunity he was given, and now that he's alone, nothing will change. Wardlow claims that he was held back, and now without MJF, he will rectify his past.
Scorpio Sky (c) vs. Wardlow II - TNT Championship
For the first time since their March encounter, these two step foot inside the ring and look to walk out with the gold! Unsurprisingly, Wardlow was forced to deal with multiple distractions and backhanded tactics, but he can't be deterred. With the world watching, he makes the best out of this opportunity, and even after being knocked out with a TKO - IT WASN'T ENOUGH! There is no stopping this beast from conquering the champion, and in the end, he did so and has finally claimed a championship in AEW!
