Bryan Danielson vs. Kyle O'Reilly - AEW World Championship Eliminator Quarterfinals Match

With the opening round reaching it's conclusion, we look to start off with a first time contest to kick-off the Quarterfinals. While both Bryan Danielson and Kyle O'Reilly have shared the same company for the past several years, they have never met eachother inside of the squared circle, but in just a matter of moments... that all changes. The latter makes his way out from the back first, and as Cole was unable to make it out of the opening round, the last opportunity for Paragon lies in the hands of O'Reilly. As he proceeds to make his presence known, he's met with a thunderous ovation of boos, clearly showcasing their disdain for this individual, but he chooses to not pay much attention to it. Instead, he focuses on making his descent down the entrance ramp, and slides into the ring. Pacing back-and-forth in it, he impatiently waits for his opposition, who once again makes his opponent wait. In due time though, the 2021 AEW Eliminator Tournament Winner no longer makes him wait...

The all too familiar theme begins to blare over the PA System, and with it echoing throughout the arena, out comes The American Dragon! Quite similar to Kyle O'Reilly, Bryan Danielson is mercisely booed, with the AEW faithful possibly holding a deeper hatred for him than his opposition. However, he's made it clearly known, that he only has one thing on his mind, and that's to win this prestigious tournament for a second time in a row! Eventually making it to the ringside area, he proceeds to engage in a cold stare with his opponent, before joining him inside of the ring, as both individuals moved back to their respective corners. Without much time to waste, the opening bell would ring, signifying both competitor's ability to engage with eachother, which is exactly what occurred. Moving towards the center of the ring, both men engage in a lock-up, where they attempt to find the early advantage, not without a sliver of struggle from both parties. However, eventually it was Danielson who gained the early upper-hand, and quickly transitioned over to his opponent's head.

With a tight grip now locked in, he began to squeeze O'Reilly's skull, but as a means of clear desperation, the aforementioned competitor pushed Danielson into the nearest corner. Where he proceeded to land a SERIES OF LETHAL KICKS AND STRIKES, WHICH GAVE DANIELSON NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO LET GO OF HIS GRASP! Unfortunately for him, this now left him open and vulnerable, which O'Reilly attempted to take quick advantage of, AND ATTEMPTED FOR A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT IN THE CORNER, BUT DANIELSON COUNTERED IT, AND SENT HIS OPPOSITION INTO THE CORNER INSTEAD! From there, DANIELSON PROCEEDED TO LAND A CORNER CHOP, WHICH SENDS HIS OPPONENT TO THE CENTER OF THE RING! Slowly following him to that area of it, HE IS ABLE TO CONNECT WITH AN ELBOW SMASH... BUT O'REILLY REFUSES TO COWER! Which leads the latter to connect with a FOREARM SMASH, WHICH TAKES DANIELSON DOWN TO A KNEE, BUT HE ISN'T FINISHED! Hoisting up Danielson to a vertical base, he sends him out to the apron, and looks to inflict eve more damage, AND LANDS AN ARM-TAKEDOWN ON THE APRON!

With that said, Danielson falls directly on the apron, before falling down to the ringside floor. However, O'Reilly heads right back up to the apron, and awaits for his opponent to return to a vertical base, BEFORE LANDING AN APRON MISSLE DROPKICK TO THE OUTSIDE! Simply able to take out his opponent, he proceeds to hoist up Danielson, and sends him back into the ring! 1...2...KICKOUT! HE'LL HAVE TO DO MUCH MORE TO PUT AWAY THE AMERICAN DRAGON! However, with no hesitation to be showcased, O'REILLY NOW PROCEEDS TO ATTEMPT FOR A KIMURA LOCK... BUT DANIELSON COUNTERS IT INTO A SUCCESSFUL KNEEBAR ATTEMPT! With the hold now officially locked in, his opposition began to scream in agony, and looked to possibly be on the verge to submitting. However, with a desperate counter, O'Reilly moves over near his opponent's head, AND ATTEMPTS TO LOCK IN A REAR NAKED CHOKE, BUT DANIELSON COUNTERS AND MAKES HIS WAY BACK TO A VERTICAL BASE! With no other choice, Danielson must take down O'Reilly... WHICH HE DOES WITH AN ENZUIGIRI!

Refusing to attempt for the cover just yet, Danielson hoists up his opposition, and looks to take him right back down to the canvas WITH A DRAGON SCREW ATTEMPT... BUT KYLE MANAGES TO ESCAPE THE MANEUVER, AND NOW LOOKS FOR A BACK SUPLEX! However, in the process of this specific attempt, which luckily DANIELSON IS ABLE TO FLIP OUT OF, AND LANDS ON HIS FEET! From there, he's able TO TAKE OUT O'REILLY WITH A CHOP BLOCK, TARGETED AT THE BACK OF KYLE'S LEFT LEG! Now moving over to his opposition's opposite side, he begins to shout for O'Reilly to return to a vertical base, WHERE HE SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTS WITH A BUZZSAW KICK! 1...2...KICKOUT! IT'S STILL NOT OVER... WHICH LEADS DANIELSON TO RETURN TO THE ATTACK! Proceeding to hoist up his opponent by his backside, he slowly positions himself for success, BEFORE ATTEMPTING FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX... BUT O'REILLY COUNTERS IT INTO A SUCCESSFUL SAITO SUPLEX ATTEMPT!

While a pinfall attempt usually follows this, O'Reilly clearly knew that his opposition was far too experienced to fall to a simple maneuver, which leads him to positioning his opponent to his knees. From there, O'REILLY ATTEMPTED FOR A HUGE KNEE STRIKE... BUT DANIELSON COUNTERS IT INTO A TRIANGLE CHOKE! IT'S LOCKED IN, THIS COULD BE IT! Attempting to finally put away his opponent, it seemed as each second passed, this contest could be reaching it's conclusion. As he began to fade, before the official could call for the bell, Danielson proceeded to let go of the hold! From there, he hoisted up O'Reilly to a vertical base, AND ATTEMPTS FOR A DANIELSON SPECIAL... BUT HIS OPPOSITION IS ABLE TO LAND ON HIS FEET, AND CONNECTS WITH A SPINNING BACK KICK! As the former falls a few inches backwards, KYLE ATTEMPTS FOR A RUNNING LARIAT, WHICH DANIELSON REVERSES INTO A REGAL-PLEX! FROM HERE, HE LOCKS IN A CATTLE MUTILATION! In just a matter of moments, O'Reilly struggles not to submit, but without much choice.. HE HAS TO!

Andrade 'El Idolo' vs. Jungle Boy - AEW World Championship Eliminator Quarterfinals Match

Continuing on with the quarterfinals, two of AEW's more versatile competitors looked to prove their worth in this prestigious tournament, but after both having quite difficult routes to this battle, accomplishing won't be easy at all. Both Andrade 'El Idolo' and Jungle Boy have been inches away from breaking their respect glass ceilings, and with that, moving onto greater things, but neither have been successful in that department thus far. With an opportunity to change that narrative this evening, the latter doesn't take much time in making his presence known, as Jungle Boy proceeds to walk out from the back, as he's met with an ovation of cheers from the AEW faithful, clearly showing their appreciation for his clear improvements in the past calendar year. Now continuing his descent down the entrance ramp, he eventually makes it to the ringside area, where he then slides into the ring from under the bottom rope. He wouldn't have to stand alone inside of the ring for long...

With that said, Andrade's theme begins to blare over the PA System, which almost immediately garners quite the negative reaction, which can only be expected in all honesty. Walking out from behind the curtain, he slowly makes his entrance, which has become a tradition for him to do, especially in big marquee contests, such as this one. Unlike his last contest, he doesn't seem all that concerned in his opposition, almost as he was underestimating him, which would be showcased with his clear smirk throughout the duration of his elaborate entrance this evening. Eventually, able to join his opponent inside of the ring, he refused to engage with them, but instead deciding to make his way over to his respective corner. Without a second thought, Jungle Boy follows this action, and the official in charge decides to ring the opening bell, which signifies the official start of this contest. Both individuals make their way towards the center of the ring, where they unsurprisingly engage in a lock-up, hoping to earn the early advantage in this one, which quickly turns into a case of struggle.

Proceeding to tug eachother back-and-forth, it seemed as gaining the early upper-hand wouldn't be easy, but with Andrade having the clear strength advantage, he was able to find it before his opposition could. Unlike other previous examples in this tournament, Andrade refuses to target the head, but instead to the groin, where he takes it quite slow, and lands a quick strike to his opposition's aforementioned body part, which led to the 24 year old having to move back a couple of inches. With this occurring, he attempts to move towards Jungle Boy, and looks FOR AN OPEN-HAND CHOP... BUT HIS OPPONENT IS ABLE TO PUSH HIM INTO THE ROPES! With this done, ANDRADE IS ABLE TO FIND HIMSELF IN THE MIDDLE ROPES, AS HE STRIKES A TRANQUILO POSE! Without a single second of hesitation, JUNGLE BOY ATTEMPTS TO CHARGE AFTER ANDRADE... BUT THE LATTER FALLS TO THE CANVAS, ABLE TO LEAD THE FORMER TO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR! In a matter of moments, he slides out of the ring from under the bottom rope, and meets his opponent on the outside.

Now beginning to hoist up Jungle Boy to a vertical base, HE ATTEMPTS TO SEND HIM INTO THE NEAREST STEEL BARICADE... BUT THE FORMER CATCHES HIM WITH A HURRICANRANA! Able to find a the advantage for the first time in this matchup, he now proceeds to hoist up his opposition, and pushes him back into the ring, but it didn't stop here, as he would attempt for the pinfall victory. 1....2...KICKOUT! With his inability to put away Andrade thus far, Jungle Boy lifts up the aforementioned individual once more, AND SLAPS THE TASTE OUT OF HIS OPPONENT'S MOUTH! However, this doesn't sit well with Andrade, WHO STRIEKS HIM WITH A HUGE KNEE STRIKE TO THE GOIN... BEFORE PROCEEDING TO LAND A SNAP GERMAN SUPLEX! Hoisting up Jungle Boy to a seated position, he seemed to not be finished inflicting pain yet, AS HE CHARGES TOWARDS THE NEAREST SET OF ROPES, AND SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTS WITH A SLIDING KICK! 1...2...KICKOUT! JUNGLE BOY MANAGES TO STICK AROUND IN THIS ONE, WHICH BEGINS TO MAKE ANDRADE FEEL A SENSE OF FRUSTRATION!

Starting to realize urgency could be important, Andrade hoists up his opponent once more, BEFORE ATTEMPTING FOR A DROPKICK TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD... BUT BEFORE HE COULD, IT SEEMED AS JUNGLE BOY SENSED IT, AND DUCKED UNDER! As he returned back to a vertical base, HE SENT ANDRADE RIGHT DOWN TO THE CANVAS WITH A SWINGING DDT! 1...2...KICKOUT! With a massive opportunity put in the palm of his hands, he lifts up Andrade, AND ATTEMPTS FOR A REVERSE RANA... BUT ANDRADE CATCHES HIM, AND TURNS HIM BACK AROUND FOR A POWERBOMB! Now scaling up to the top rope, HE ATTEMPTS FOR A MOONSAULT... BUT BEFORE HE CAN FALL TO THE CANVAS, JUNGLE BOY KIPS UP TO HIS FEET AND LANDS A REVERSE RANA OFF THE TOP ROPE! Due to the high-impact maneuver, he wasn't able to find the cover, but instead lost that opportunity admittedly. After a nearly 30 second recovery for both individuals, they seemingly returned to a vertical base, where Jungle Boy now looked to find the conclusion of this contest, AS HE TRIES FOR A DOUBLE UNDERHOOK POWERBOMB! WHICH HE IS ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY CONNECT WITH NO HESISTATION!

Almost immediately after connecting with this maneuver, Jungle Boy crawls over to the cover! 1...2...KICKOUT! ANDRADE STAYS IN THIS ONE, BUT THE FORMER WON'T STAY OFF HIM, NOT UNTIL HE SEALS THE DEAL IN THIS CONTEST! Having him face-first down on the canvas, JUNGLE BOY NOW PROCEEDS TO LOCK IN THE SNARE TRAP... AND DOES SO SUCCESSFULLY, AS HE LOOKS TO SECURE THE VICTORY HERE IN THIS ONE! It's locked in deep, but as Andrade looked to lift up his right hand, possibly to tap out, HE HAD A SURGE OF ENERGY, AND MANAGED TO MAKE IT TO THE ROPES! Not wanting to let go, especially with the opportunity he has in front of him, HE PULLS BACK ANDRADE TO THE CENTER OF THE RING, BUT ANDRADE IS ABLE TO COUNTER IT WITH A SERIES OF KICKS TO THE SKULL! HAVING NO OTHER CHOICE, JUNGLE BOY LETS GO, WHICH LEAVES HIM OPEN TO A STATE OF VULNERABILITY! Quickly rising up to a vertical base, ANDRADE CONNECTS WITH A CARTWHEEL PELE KICK! From here, he hoisted up his opposition, and looked to find this contest's conclusion, BUT AS HE ATTEMPTED FOR A LA SOMBRA... JUNGLE BOY WOULD REVERSE IT INTO A ROLLUP! 1...2...3...! HE DOES IT, HE SNEAKS AWAY FROM THE VICTORY, AND MOVES ONTO THE SEMIFINALS!

Jungle Boy def. Andrade 'El Idolo' to advance to the Semi-Finals (16:10)

Eddie Kingston vs. Samoa Joe - AEW World Championship Eliminator Quarterfinals Match

Only a year ago, this would have been touted as yet another classic contest, contested between two individuals that not only had a sense of competiveness between eachother, but friendly nature too. For as far as many can remember, Eddie Kingston looked up to Samoa Joe, always aspiring to improve each time they shared the ring, with the hope of one day... overcoming him on the grand stage. However, in November of last year, the structure of their relationship truly changed, as CM Punk revealed that the latter didn't think much of the former, and frankly insulted him behind his back any chance he got, which only added yet another reason for Eddie to feel as the world was against him. This evening was no longer about defeating his idol, but rather proving that he's worth something around here, and his past is nothing to mock, especially by someone he once admired. With that said, out first from the back, was none other, than Samoa Joe! It's immediately made clear that he's still adored by the AEW faithful, which he ends up embracing, while continuing his descent down the entrance ramp, and having his eyes on the ball, which he didn't have back at All Out.

Speaking on the aforementioned event, he was unable to dethrone the current AEW World Champion, CM Punk, who was able to put away Sama Joe in a highly competitive title defense. However, with a chance to close in on a third victory against one Eddie Kingston, he was as focused as ever. Eventually making it inside the ring, he would patiently await the arrival of one man, and it wasn't going to a pleasant sight, not at all. Coming out from behind the curtain, he garners a highly positive reaction from the fans in attendance, who have absolutely loved watching his climb to the top, but who have also grown tired of his constant failures once reaching the mountain top. With his former idol staring at him from across the arena, all of that doubt that he once had faded away, and simply all that mattered was him reaching his destination, which he eventually did, as he joined Samoa Joe inside of the squared circle in a matter of moments. Unsurprisingly, he proceeded to butt heads with his opposition, before the official in charge prompted them to their respective corners, where they waited for the opening bell to sound. They wouldn't have to wait long, as in a few seconds, it did just that.

Understanding that he's failed twice against Joe before, he didn't take this contest slow, and that's due to the fact he knew he couldn't afford to. Instead, he charged towards his opponent, AND STARTED OFF THE MATCHUP WITH A STRIKING AFFAIR, AS JOE DIDN'T HESISTATE IN JOINING! Refusing to hold back, the two went back-and-forth with numerous forearm strikes, steering clear of the traditional lock-up start, which might be smart in this scenario. However, as the two exhaust their options, and choose to step away from one another, KINGSTON TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION... AS HE SLAPS THE TASTE OUT OF HIS OPPOSITION'S MOUTH! Realizing this won't be a friendly contest, but rather a physical endeavor, HE PROCEEDS TO LANDING A SERIES OF FOREARM SMASHES! As he looks to transition over to A ROLLING ELBOW ATTEMPT... BUT KINGSTON DUCKS UNDER AND CONNECTS WITH A HUGE HEADBUTT! Clearly feeling the power behind this maneuver, Joe proceeds to step back a few inches, but as Kingston heads FOR A HUGE LARIAT, SAMOA JOE IS ABLE TO COUNTER IT!

Seemingly transitioning to an irish-whip attempt, which he's able to find success in doing so, as he sends Kingston over to the nearest corner, WHERE HE CONNECTS WITH A CCS ENZUIGIRI! 1...2...KICKOUT! KINGSTON MANAGES TO FIND A WAY OUT, AND STAYS IN THIS ONE FOR NOW! Upon returning to a vertical base, he hoists up his opposition, and attempts to throw him out of the ring through the middle rope, but Joe manages to counter it, AND SENDS KINGSTON OUT OF IT INSTEAD! Realizing what's been laid out in front of him now, HE HEADS TOWARDS THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE RING, BUT AS HE REBOUNDS OFF OF THE ROPES, he's able to connect with a SUICIDE DIVE TO THE OUTSIDE! THIS COULD CERTAINLY BE THE BEGINNING OF THE END! Deciding to now lift up Kingston off of the ground, he sends him back into the squared circle, and instead of attempting for the cover, HE CHOOSES TO LOCK IN A CLOVERLEAF! It's now locked in deep, which could lead to this matchup's conclusion, BUT KINGSTON REFUSES TO FALL FOR A THIRD TIME, NOT AGAIN, NOT NOW!

Somehow, he's able to make it to the ropes after a much difficult effort, which led to Joe having no other choice but to let go of his grasp! Not wanting to lose this opportunity, JOE ATTEMPTS TO LOCK IN A DRAGON SLEEPER NOW, BUT KINGSTON IS ABLE TO FIGHT OUT OF IT, AND RETURN TO A VERTICAL BASE, WHICH HIS OPPOSITION DOES TOO! However, he doesn't waste too long in returning fire, AS HE CONNECTS WITH A TIGER SUPLEX/LARIAT COMBO! From there, he waited for his opponent to return to a seated position, and once he did, KINGSTON ATTEMPTED FOR A SLIDING D... BUT JOE MANAGES TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY, AND LANDS A KNEE LIFT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY! Able to take Kingston down just a few moments ago, he hoists him up once more, AND LANDS A FOLDING POWERBOMB! HE DOESN'T LET GO, AS HE PROCEEDS TO ATTEMPT FOR THE COVER! 1...2...KICKOUT! KINGSTON IS ABLE TO SOMEHOW KICKOUT, AS JOE ONCE AGAIN ISN'T ABLE TO PUT AWAY HIS OPPONENT! Clearly not happy with this, he still holds onto his opponent, AND LIFTS HIM UP FOR AN ATTEMPTED CHIMERA-PLEX... BUT KINGSTON COUNTERS IT, TURNS HIM AROUND AND LANDS A DEVASTATING POWERBOMB!

With Kingston having a chance to seal the deal on making it one step closer to his dream, HE ATTEMPTS FOR A BACKDROP DRIVER ONCE AGAIN... BUT SAMOA JOE MANAGED TO FIND HIS WAY OUT OF HIS OPPOSITION'S GRASP... AND TRANSITIONED INTO A SUCCESSFUL COQUINA CLUTH ATTEMPT! Having the hold locked in deep, it truly seemed as this could be the beginning of the end for Kingston, as he started to fade, with his eyes now completely shutting. However, as the official in charge checks on Kingston, he starts to lift up his arm, but after the left one falls down twice, IT STAYS UP ON THE THIRD TRY! Able to stay in this one, HE SUCCESSFULLY IS ABLE TO FIGHT OUT OF THE HOLD, BEFORE TRANSITIONING INTO A URANAGE BACKBREAKER! From here, Eddie slowly began to hoist up his opponent, before ATTEMPTING FOR A BACKFIST... BUT JOE DUCKS UNDER AND LIFTS HIM UP FOR AN ATTEMPTED MUSCLE BUSTER! However, as he successfully gets him up, Kingston manages to escape the grasp of Samoa Joe, who then PROCEEDS TO CATCH HIM WITH A BACKFIST TO THE FUTURE! 1...2...3...! EDDIE KINGSTON HAS PREVAILED, AND HAS FINALLY OVERCOME HIS FORMER IDOL!

Eddie Kingston def. Samoa Joe to advance to the Semi-Finals (17:12)

Jon Moxley vs. Jungle Boy - AEW World Championship Eliminator Semifinals Match

With the official start of the semi-finals only mere moments away, it's become clear on how Jungle Boy has been the true underdog of this tournament, and is only one victory away from reaching the finals. However, he's going to have to overcome the second-ever AEW World Champion, who has made it known that nothing will stop him on his path to reclaiming gold, and especially his opposition this evening. On his way out first, Jungle Boy comes out from behind the curtains, where he's greeted with an ovation of cheers, with a majority of them realizing how important this opportunity truly is, and how close the aforementioned competitor is to another chance at AEW's top title. Continuing his entrance, he proceeds to make his descent down the entrance ramp, before entering the ring through the middle rope, where he patiently waits for his opponent to make his presence known. He wouldn't have to wait much longer, as in mere moments, Moxley made his way out from the crowd...

As one may expect, he's quite confident walking into the contest, especially considering his bye into this specific round. As he reaches to the end of the crowd, he proceeds to hop over the barricade, and then nonchalantly slides into the ring, where he simply begins to laugh at his opposition. In a few moments, both individuals would make their way to their respective corners, where they awaited for the opening bell. In a matter of seconds, this action would commence, and the contest would officially begin. Making their way over to the center of the ring, Jungle Boy knew he couldn't start off this match off traditionally, but instead he had to charge over to the nearest corner FOR A DROPKICK INTO THE CORNER! Able to find the mark, he continues the attack, as he begins to land a series of forearms to the grounded opposition, as a much more physical side of Jungle Boy is being shown this evening. Deciding to now hoist up Moxley, he brings him over to the center of the ring, and ATTEMPTS FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX... MOXLEY COUNTERS WITH A SERIES OF FOREARM SMASHES, HE GETS OUT!

Upon successfully freeing himself, HE LANDS MULTIPLE SLAPS UPON HIS OPPONENT, BEFORE TRANSITONING A COUPLE OF CHOPS TO THE CHEST! This ultimately sends Jungle Boy a couple of inches backwards, but that doesn't stop Moxley, WHO THEN CONNECTS WITH A MULTIPLE KNEE STRIKES TO THE HEAD! In an attempt to finally bring his opponent down to the canvas, HE LOOKS FOR A DISCUS LARIAT... BUT JUNGLE BOY CATCHES HIM WITH A SHOTGUN DROPKICK! 1...2...KICKOUT! It simply won't be that easy, as Moxley is able to stick around in this one, but Jungle Boy won't let him breathe. However, when he ATTEMPTS FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX... MOXLEY ONCE AGAIN MANAGES TO ESCAPE HIS OPPOSITION'S GRASP, AND AS HE DOES, HE LANDS ONE OF HIS OWN! After this, Jungle Boy would proceed to slide out of the ring, where he assumed he could catch a breather, but Moxley seemed to have other ideas, AS HE CHARGES TOWARDS THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE RING, AND AS HE REBOUNDED OFF OF THE NEAREST SET OF ROPES, HE WOULD CONNECT WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!

Able to catch him with a high-octane maneuver, Moxley hoists up his opposition, and proceeds to ATTEMPT FOR AN IRISH-WHIP INTO THE NEAREST STEEL BARRICADE, BUT JUNGLE BOY IS ABLE TO COUNTER IT, AND COMPLETE THIS ACTION HIMSELF! However, AS HE RACES BACK OVER TO WHERE MOXLEY RESIDES... HE'S CAUGHT WITH AN EXPLODER SUPLEX INTO THE BARRICADE! Jungle Boy begins to scream in agony, clearly not in a good way, Which Moxley would inevitably take advantage of, as he hoisted up his opponent and sent him back into the squared circle, before going on to attempt for the cover. 1...2...KICKOUT! JUNGLE BOY SURVIVES, AND HE STILL LUCKILY REMAINS IN THIS CONTEST! Clearly feeling unsatisfied with this contest not reaching it's conclusion just yet, he now begins to lift up his opponent, AND ATTEMPTS FOR A MIDKNIGHT SPECIAL... BUT JUNGLE BOY IS ABLE TO LAND ON HIS FEET, AND SEEMINGLY PROCEEDS TO CONNECT WITH A SWINGING DDT!

Refusing to go for the cover, he once again attempts to seal his spot in the finals, he looks to put him away WITH A HEADLOCK DRIVER... BUT INSTEAD OF LANDING ON HIS HEAD, JUNGLE BOY IS ABLE TO SPRING TO HIS FEET, AND TAKES MOXLEY DOWN FROM BEHIND WITH A DROPKICK TO THE BACK OF HIS SKULL! However, as this occurs, Moxley is sent into the nearest corner, where from the impact he's sent a couple of inches backwards RIGHT INTO A REVERSE RANA! 1...2...KICKOUT! Once again, Moxley stays in this one, but Jungle Boy won't stay away, as he begins to scale up to the top rope, and once Moxley reaches a vertical base, THE FORMER ATTEMPTS FOR A MISSLE DROPKICK... BUT MOXLEY CATCHES HIM IN MID-AIR, AND DROPS HIM RIGHT BACK DOWN TO THE CANVAS WITH AN AIR RAID CRASH! Refusing to head for the cover, he truly wants to inflict even more damage, as he hoists up his opponent, AND ON THE SECOND ATTEMPT... IS ABLE TO CONNECT WITH A MIDNIGHT SPECIAL! Beginning to toy with Jungle Boy, he lifts him up FOR AN ATTEMPTED URANAGE SLAM... BUT NO!

Somehow able to counter him, HE'S ABLE TO REVERSE IT INTO A SUCCESSFUL ROLLUP! 1...2...KICKOUT! HE WAS SO CLOSE TO MAKING IT TO THE FINALS, WHICH UPSETS MOXLEY GREATLY! With him returning to a vertical base, HE QUICKLY CATCHES HIS OPPONENT WITH A JUMPING KNEE STRIKE, BEFORE TRANSITIONING INTO A SUCCESSFUL REGAL KNEE! For the last part of this contest, it has seemed that Moxley has been incensed, and has controlled the floor for a bit of time now. With Jungle Boy unable to move, Moxley quickly takes advantage of the situation, and hoists up his opposition, AND LIFTS HIM UP FOR A PARADIGM SHIFT... BEFORE PUTTING HIM BACK DOWN TO THE CANVAS FOR IT! Landing directly upon his skull, Jungle Boy proceeded to shake from the effects of the maneuver. Without any further hesitation, Moxley slowly heads for the cover, clearly knowing that his opponent has no chance of getting up. 1...2...3...! MOXLEY HEADS TO THE FINALS! With the bye to the semifinals for Moxley, the well rested competitor seemed unstoppable by the end of this contest, which could end up helping him in the long run, especially in the finals, whether he meets Kingston or Danielson there. He's made up for last year, and now it's all up to him to seal the deal at the Full Gear PPV.

Bryan Danielson vs. Eddie Kingston - AEW World Championship Eliminator Semifinals Match

In the final contest before reaching the long-awaited AEW Eliminator Tournament Finals, which so happens to be a rematch from the prior year's edition, where The American Dragon was able to overcome the War King, and costed the latter an opportunity to accomplish his dream - becoming the AEW World Champion. With the past history between these two individuals now provided, Bryan Danielson makes his entrance first, where he's almost immediately greeted with an outcry of negative energy, but he can't focus on that, or he'll end up drowning to the sound of his own defeat. However, since arriving to All Elite Wrestling, Danielson has showcased his undeniable abilities, almost every single time he stepped into the ring. Now with a chance to attempt to capture the AEW World Championship , which would end up being his third try, and hopefully his final one at that. Upon eventually making it to the ringside area, he doesn't hesitate in entering the squared circle, where he steps in between the ropes, and patiently awaits his opposition's impending arrival...

Not having to wait much longer, Eddie Kingston proceeded to walk out from the back, where he was met with an ovation of cheers, which was the clear opposite of how they interacted towards The American Dragon. Quickly realizing how close he is to the promise land, he begins to charge towards the ring, simply having no hesitation in sliding under the bottom rope, and getting directly in the face of his opposition! Before things can get too hasty, the official in charge decides to step in between them, and sends them to their respective corners, before calling for the opening bell. With this action being completed, it clearly signified both competitor's ability to step forward and engage with one another, which is exactly what they ended up doing in a matter of moments. With that said, they proceeded to engage in a lock-up, where both performers attempt to find the early advantage, and after a bit of struggle between both men, Danielson is able to take control of this contest, as he transitions over to his opposition's backside. From here, he pushes Kingston into the nearest corner, and before the aforementioned individual could react, DANIELSON LANDS A CORNER CHOP!

From here, Kingston almost immediately grabbed onto his chest, but he would quickly have to defend himself, AS DANIELSON BEGAN TO HAMMER DOWN WITH A SERIES OF FOREARM SMASHES... WHICH LEADS TO KINGSTON HAVING TO BLOCK EACH STRIKE! Realizing that his plan isn't currently working, he instead sends his opponent to the opposite corner with an irish-whip, WHICH HE PROCEEDS TO HEAD OVER TO THE AFOREMENTIONED PART OF THE RING, AND ATTEMPTS FOR A DROPKICK... BUT KINGSTON MANAGES TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY IN THE NICK OF TIME! Falling directly onto his arm, Danielson began to show clear signs of agony, which his opponent almost immediately started to take advantage of, as he hoisted up Danielson, and PUT HIM DOWN WITH A SNAPMARE, FOLLOWED UP WITH A SOCCER KICK TO THE BACK OF HIS OPPOSITION! While this did end up inflicting a sliver of pain upon Danielson, he managed to push through it, and return to a vertical base in a matter of seconds, WHERE KINGSTON ATTEMPTED FOR AN ENZUIGIRI KICK... BUT DANIELSON DUCKS UNDER!

Managing to avoid a dastardly scenario, The American Dragon ENDS UP STOMPING ONTO KINGSTON'S RIGHT ARM, BEFORE BEGINNING TO ATTEMPT TO LOCK IN A CROSS-ARM BREAKER, BUT IT'S NOT SUCCESSFUL! As The War God manages to fight out of it, AND SOMEHOW TRANSITIONS TO A VERTICAL BASE, WHERE HE PUTS DANIELSON DOWN TO THE CANVAS WITH A POWERBOMB! HOWEVER, BRYAN STILL HAS AHOLD OF KINGSTON'S ARM, WHICH MEANS THE LOCK IS STILL IN DEEP! As each moment passes, Kingston's ability to keep his eyes open begin to fade, and it would seem as we may witness a repeat from last year... BUT AFTER A CLEAR STRUGGLE, HE MANAGES TO FIND THE ROPES, WHICH CALLS FOR A ROPEBREAK! After keeping the hold locked in for the full four seconds, Danielson would then let it go, before returning fire only moments later. Hoisting up his opponent from behind, HE ATTEMPTED FOR A TIGER SUPLEX... BUT KINGSTON COUNTERS IT... LANDING A HIP TOSS UPON DANIELSON, BEFORE COMPLETING THE SCENARIO WITH AN ENZUIGIRI!

Able to take Danielson down for the time being, Kingston doesn't waste a single second in attempting for the cover, as he looks to seal his deal in the finals of this year's Eliminator Tournament! 1...2...KICKOUT! THAT'S NOT IT, AS KINGSTON ONCE AGAIN ISN'T ABLE TO PUT AWAY HIS OPPONENT THUS FAR, BUT HE ISN'T DONE YET! Hoisting up Danielson only moments later, HE ATTEMPTS FOR A HUGE LARIAT... BUT THE FORMER IS ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY DUCK UNDER, AND CONNECTS WITH A REGAL-PLEX, AND BRIDGES INTO THE PINFALL ATTEMPT! 1...2...KICKOUT! KINGSTON WON'T FALTER, HE WON'T LET THE AMERICAN DRAGON TAKE AWAY HIS DREAM ONCE AGAIN! He promised that he'd become the AEW World Champion to his mother, and after nearly two years of being unable to do so, he won't let his own failures break his mother's heart once again. Reaching a vertical base, Danielson begins to pick up Kingston, where he attempts to find this contest's conclusion, as he scales up to the top rope, HE SEEMINGLY ATTEMPTS FOR A DIVING HEADBUTT... BUT IS CAUGHT IN A TRIANGLE CHOKE, AND LOCKS IT IN WITH THE HOPE OF FINALLY PUTTING HIS OPPONENT AWAY!

IT COULD ALL BE OVER... EDDIE COULD FIND THE PROMISE LAND IN A MATTER OF SECONDS! However, as Danielson seems to be fading in and out of consciousness, Eddie proceeds to let go of the hold! Clearly wanting to inflict even more damage upon his opponent, HE TRANSITIONS INTO AN ATTEMPTED BACKFIST, BUT DANIELSON MANAGES TO DUCK UNDER, AND HOOKS IN A GULLIOTINE CHOKE! Just a matter of moments ago, Kingston seemed truly done for, but similar to Kingston, Danielson attempted to transition over to a more effective maneuver. WHICH HE ENDED UP DOING, LOOKING TO LOCK IN THE CATTLE MUTILIATION... BUT BEFORE HE COULD SUCCESSFULLY LOCK IT IN, EDDIE CAUGHT HIM, AND LIFTED HIM UP FOR A TIGER SUPLEX OF HIS OWN! From here, he awaited for his opposition to rise up to his feet, BEFORE LANDING A BACKFIRST TO THE FUTURE! 1...2...3...! THAT'S IT, EDDIE AVENGES HIS LOSS FROM LAST YEAR, AND MOVES ONTO THE FINALS!

Eddie Kingston def. Bryan Danielson to advance to the Finals (19:55)

Immediately after this contest comes to it's conclusion, Eddie Kingston hoists himself back up to a vertical base, where he's visibly worn out. However, one man that certainly isn't is the man meeting him in the finals at the Full Gear PPV, and that is... JON MOXLEY! In just a matter of moments, the aforementioned competitor's theme began to blare over the PA System, and he would make his way through the sold-out crowd, and eventually inside of the ring, where the two finalists met. Managing to grab a microphone from one of AEW's ringside crew members, Moxley begins to raise up the mic up to his lips, before beginning to speak directly to his former friend, someone that he feels he no longer needs in his life apparently. He begins to state that, it doesn't matter how far Kingston has come, or the demons he has overcome on his road to the finals, because every individual in this arena, and at home, knows that his biggest weakness is to his former friend. The man who made him quit two years ago, and made sure his promise to his mother would never be fulfilled, and he'll happily do it again, in order to reclaim his spot at the top of All Elite Wrestling. After finishing his dialogue, Moxley forcefully drops his microphone, as Kingston now steps up to the plate to speak.

Without much hesitation, he goes on to state that, this tournament has been all about rewriting the wrongs of his life, of his past, and starting anew. He's made sure each individual who's wronged him has paid a price, but for Moxley, he's yet to find his consequences as of this moment. While they used to be the closest of friends, he decided to instead of humbling Pentagon, he destroyed him, and that doesn't sit well with Kingston, and it certainly never will. Going on to speak about Moxley's return, he says that, he doesn't even recognize this version of him, and by the time he's finished with him this Saturday night, neither will any viewer happening to tune in. With these words implanted into Moxley's brain, Kingston drops his microphone aswell, as the last solid image seen before their upcoming clash, is the both of them nose-to-nose, simply ready for battle...
