Rebooking Sasha's SD Women's Championship Reign| Part One: A Sure Change
Post Body

The story of 'The Boss', Sasha Banks is quite amusing in a sense. While she has been NXT, RAW, and Smackdown Women's Champion a combined number of 7 times, however her inability to successfully defend a strand of gold has left quite a reputation. She has continuously tried to break through that verbal glass ceiling, even though a quick title loss has always shut it down rather quickly. This would change in the Summer of 2020, when the culmination of her former friendship with 'The Role Model', Bayley would end with a revolutionizing match for the Smackdown Women's Championship.

Prologue: A Summer Miracle

Bayley plants her foot on Sasha's neck, pushing her down face-first into the canvas. It's been a grueling Smackdown Women's Championship match, and 'The Role Model' is ready to put her former best friend away for good - a lesson in never taking up too much of the spotlight. Now beginning to dig the heel of her foot into the skull of Sasha's, the pain is truly immense, which would be shown by the emotional pain brought upon her face. Following this, Bayley would pick up her broken opposition, but it would be reversed into a nasty slap. A shocked expression would arise on Bayley's face, she would try to maintain the offense once again, but a successive flurry of strikes would bring the Women's Champion down to her knees.

She puts her hands up, seeking forgiveness from the women she just maliciously attacked a month ago. However, Banks' hero instincts would kick in, possibly willing to forgive, as she leans in for a hug. But instead she would back up slightly, running into a meteroa. The ovation from the crowd is colossal, cheers raining throughout the arena. As the smart competitor Bayley has proven to be, she would roll out of the ring, before she could possibly be pinned. But Sasha was having none of it, relaying from the opposite side of the ring, SHE WOULD SOAR THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE, FOR A SUICIDE DIVE! The ovation continues to grow louder, as Sasha would bring in the dazed Champion, proceeding to lock in the 'Banks Statement'. For several moments Bayley would crawl, looking for a way out, but seemingly there would be none, which would result in her tapping the canvas several times.

Sasha Banks collapses to her knees as the bell rings to signal the end of their emotional battle, as Bayley finally has answered to her malicious actions, but more-so, Banks has finally gotten closure after a hectic month. With only her second SummerSlam victory, this has to feel extra special for 'The Boss' tonight. But for Bayley she lost her title, her best friend, and her dignity. And for what? She would proceed to leave the arena with an utterly disappointed look upon her face, as the closing image would be Banks holding up her newly won Smackdown Women's Championship, as it is quite clear who won this war in the end.

Road To Clash Of Champions:

WWE SmackDown - August 28th, 2020

In the fallout of SummerSlam, the show would begin with 'Sky's The Limit' playing over the PA System, signaling the arrival of the brand new Smackdown Women's Champion, Sasha Banks. The lights are radiant, as Banks is sporting a gorgeous bright blue dress, matching her blue strap draped over her shoulder. She strides cooly down the ring, trying to contain her excitement until she enters the ring, the look of confidence is quite powerful, matched with her smile being as bright as the sun on a beautiful Summer day.

Grabbing a mic, she says that she told everyone this was her time, and she would become the NEW Smackdown Women's Champion. Now standing here today as just that, she must re-focus, and concentrate on something she has failed in doing for the past four years. That being, successfully defending a Championship, while she has been unable to achieve this many times prior, this time will be different. Going through the emotional, mental, and physical pain that she has endured this past month, this time has to be different, it must be, or last night was for absolutely nothing.

Lacey Evans' theme hits, much to Banks' surprise, the brash southerner would walk down the ramp, confident as ever. Grabbing a mic herself, with an obnoxious laugh, she would claim that no matter how much Sasha claimed this time to be different, it won't be. For four years, 'The Boss' has tried to climb the mountain of the WWE, but has failed every single time. Evans gets into the face of Sasha, emphasizing that this time, she will do the pleasures of putting her down, ruining the dream of being a successful Women's Champion, and she is going to love every second of it.

WWE SmackDown - September 4th, 2020

In the wake of last week's events, Sasha Banks would be seen impatiently knocking on the door of WWE official Adam Pearce's office repeatedly and pacing around. Once he would open the door, Sasha would request to speak with him inside, and he would anxiously oblige. They would both enter his office, as Banks would demand for a Championship contest against Lacey Evans at... Clash Of Champions! With no true reason to decline her request, Pearce would make the match official for September 27th, wishing Sasha the best of luck.

As for Lacey, she would be exclusively interviewed several minutes later, asking what her thoughts were on the SmackDown Women's Championship being made official? She would enthusiastically respond with a snarky remark, claiming that anyone can get lucky once, but the nasty boss can't get lucky twice. She has proven that herself plenty of times over, but this time the title comes home to a much superior competitor, 'The Sassy Southern Belle', Lacey Evans.

WWE SmackDown - September 11th, 2020

With a majority of the already passed by, Lacey Evans would take it upon herself to enter the Thunderdome, with her presence clearly being seen, the response by the fans at home was decisively negative. But after gesturing for them to quiet down, they would eventually become less-and-less responsive as with a mic already in her possession, Evans would begin to speak with an obnoxious tone. She would exclaim that while Sasha's failures have been seen time-and-time again, she still believes her reign won't come to a screeching halt on the 27th of September, maybe she has to be shown herself.

The challenger would point up the titantron above her head, as it would begin to play a video package. Showcasing her opponent's failures over the years, to the likes of Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Becky Lynch. Once this was shown, the video would enter in a state of static, until the video would convert into a package showing the success that Evans has had since arriving onto the scene. Championship matches, Royal Rumble matches, even defeating Sasha Banks in tag-team action earlier on in the calendar year. As the video concludes, Evans promises for this to be the case once more.

WWE SmackDown - September 18th, 2020

Whilst Sasha Banks would be in non-title action against the Hart Dungeon graduate, Natalya, Lacey Evans would be on commentary for said contest. Looking to send a message to her challenger, Sasha would put forth her best efforts against the seasoned veteran, and while Natalya might have had one of her better performances on this night, it wouldn't be enough to put away the gritty Champion. After an incredible back-and-forth battle between two incredibly talented competitors, a couple of slight mishaps from the Canadian-born competitor, would lead to being locked in for the 'Banks Statement', leading to a submission based victory.

Following a physically tasking matchup, a face-to-face confrontation would occur just moments after the closing bell would sound. Banks exiting the ring, as she would get in the face of her challenger, raising her title high above in the air. Clearly Lacey's remarks from the past two weeks, has made this match much more important, the segment would close with a solid image of what is to come in just 9 days time, when these two Women seek to be SmackDown Women's Champion.

WWE SmackDown - September 25th, 2020

On the SummerSlam go-home show, the encounter between Sasha Banks and Lacey Evans is hyped up as a video package highlights their unloved history together over this past month. Lacey Evans is sparing her words, saying that she doesn't have to say more than she already has, because come Sunday she will have the Smackdown Women's Championship to back up her words. Whist, Sasha Banks says that she has worked way too hard to let some overconfident southerner take it all away in a blink of an eye. That this Sunday, she breaks the unenviable curse, and will walk out still Women's Champion, when it is all said-and-done.

Clash Of Champions 2020 - September 27th, 2020

Sasha Banks (c) v. Lacey Evans - SmackDown Women's Championship Match

As the first Championship bout of the night has arrived, Lacey Evans makes her entrance first, sporting her signature red and black outfit, bathed in red light, as she confidently struts down the ramp. Gesturing for Banks to make her way out from the back, just a few moments later, 'Sky's The Limit' would blast throughout the arena. Wearing a beautiful gold attire, along with her title worn around her waist, she would make her way into the ring, raising her strap high above her head, meanwhile Evans would gesture a title belt around her waist.

The opening bell would sound, as Lacey would assume early control, using her superior arm reach to lock in a headlock. Locked in tight, you could see the clear struggle that Banks was having in trying to escape the hold, continuing to wrench tightly on the skull. But, Sasha would begin to attack the abdomen area of the challenger, with multiple elbows to the said area, Evans would have no choice but to let go of the hold, which would lead to a dropkick sending Lacey to the canvas. Now laying promptly on her back, Sasha would begin to work on the affected area once more.

With wrenching elbows to the left hip, the physical pain that Evans is currently feeling would be clearly shown. While she would try to make it to her feet, Banks would not let her do so, as she would go for a shin kick to the damaged hip, but instead her opposition would duck under, attacking the leg of 'The Boss'. She would come crashing down, screaming in pain, landing in a very awkward way. Lacey would begin to antagonize Sasha, shouting for her to get up. However, when she tried to do so, she would be kicked back down to the canvas.

From there, Evans would try to target Sasha's wrist, hoping to keep her from being able to lock in the 'Banks Statement' later on in the contest. But when a missed stomp would be seen, it would give Banks the chance to strike Evans with a nasty DDT. Furthermore, she would pick her up, sending the challenger out of the ring, to the protected floor. Seeing the possibility to keep offensive onslaught on her side, Sasha would run to the opposite side of the ring, launching off the ropes, AND THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE FOR A DARING SUICIDE DIVE!

With the ball in her court, the Champion would pick up Evans, throwing her back into the ring. Where she would head for the cover...1...2...KICKOUT! So close, but yet so far, but that wouldn't stop her from trying to end this battle, as she looked to lock in a modified cross-face, as Evans' arms would sway, eventually getting to the ropes, which would immediately call for a rope-break. Sasha knew she was extremely close to a successful retention, but it wasn't to be. She would proceed in trying to pull Lacey back to the center of the ring, but would be kicked down to the canvas. Which would give Evans the opportunity to head to the top rope, LANDING A SOARING MOONSAULT!

This was the perfect chance to go for the cover, which being the smart performer that Lacey Evans truly is, she would do just that. 1...2...KICKOUT! Banks is still in this one, but the question is for how much longer? Lacey wanted that question to be answered quite quickly, as she would head back to the top rope, looking for one more leap of faith to secure the SmackDown Women's Championship. But as she went for yet another moonsault, this time there was no-one home, which would give Sasha the opportunity to LOCK IN THE BANKS STATEMENT, digging her nails into Lacey's cheek, she would try to make it to the ropes, so close... SHE TAPS OUT!

Sasha Banks (c) def. Lacey Evans to retain the SmackDown Women's Championship (14:30)

It was quite the battle between Banks and Lacey Evans, but the former prevails, she has finally retained a Women's Championship. Staggering back to her feet, Sasha relishes in the cool touch of her gold. As for Evans, her words over the past few weeks have backfired, as she looked exhausted, rolling out of the ring with disappointment written all over her face. But back inside the ring, Sasha would raise her Championship high above her head, relishing in the ovation of the crowd, with an infectious smile to top it all off.

Road To Hell In A Cell:

WWE SmackDown - October 2nd, 2020

Following Sasha Banks' successful retention of the Smackdown Women's Champion at Clash Of Champions, she would take to the ring, to reveal her thoughts on what was certainly on an emotional night. As Sasha's music would hit, the ovation would stay the same as the night prior, with only word word to explain it - ecstatic. Sporting the same alluring outfit as the Friday after SummerSlam, and her title still draped over her shoulder, an exquisite smile lighting up the arena. Furthermore, striding down to the ring confidently, with surely a lot to say.

She would grab a mic, getting prepared to speak on one of the biggest victories of her career, but before she was able to, a figure would enter the ring with a black sweatshirt's hood draped over their head. As this unknown figure would clobber Sasha Banks' in the back of the skull, sending her down to the canvas face-first. Not knowing what to think of this, the crowd seemed to be highly confused, until the identity under the hood would be revealed....IT WAS BAYLEY! The ovation of the crowd quickly became primarily boos, as we haven't seen or head from Bayley since SummerSlam. Before leaving her ex best-friend be, she would pick her up for a detrimental Bayley-To-Belly.

WWE SmackDown - October 9th, 2020

Following last week's events, the SmackDown Women's Champion, Sasha Banks would be given the week off to rest. But tonight would give Bayley the opportunity to reveal her reasonings on why she maliciously attacked Banks last week. The camera's view would take us to the backstage area, where Bayley was quietly sitting in her locker-room, collecting her thoughts. As she begins to tape up the hand that was used to send Sasha reeling, now gesturing for the cameraman to lean closer, that whatever she was about to say, would be extremely important.

With an obnoxious tone, Bayley would proclaim that this wasn't what she wanted, this wasn't how it was supposed to end. But that Sasha took everything she worked hard to gain, and she thought I would just simply walk away. Now while Sasha was able to achieve everything she dreamed of, the spotlight, the title, the fame. She left her with absolutely nothing, completely broken, left in the dust. Completely convinced that Banks made it personal, and there was only one way to settle this. Two former best friends battling it out for the SmackDown Women's Championship... INSIDE HELL IN A CELL!

WWE SmackDown - October 16th, 2020

Sasha Banks would be forced to take a week off from WWE to recuperate from the vicious attack of Bayley, as she laid her claim onto the SmackDown Women's Championship. Sasha would return two weeks after the attack from an undisclosed location, still noticeably hurting from two weeks ago with her neck in a brace, and as everyone in the wrestling world has been abuzz from Bayley's return to SmackDown, Sasha has been in a world of hurt.

In a sorrowful tone, Sasha Banks would respond to Bayley's challenge at Hell In A Cell. Saying that she always cherished their friendship, that every bit of success was shared between the two but clearly Bayley has lost focus of the bigger picture. Winning the SmackDown Women's Championship at SummerSlam was the dream, but the bigger dream was retaining it. Now that she has done it, and Bayley still has the need to shatter what is left of this friendship, if there is even anything left, then neither of them have anything to lose. And to get rid of her for good, there is only one way to accomplish that, two ex- best friends inside Hell In A Cell. So yes, I accept your challenge, Bayley vs Sasha Banks, INSIDE HELL IN A CELL!

WWE SmackDown - October 23rd, 2020

On the Hell In A Cell go-home show, a scheduled contract signing between Sasha Banks and Bayley would kick off the show. As the challenger would make her way out first, with a pair of ripped jeans, and an artistically vibed tank-top. She confidently struts down the ramp, and into the ring, gesturing for her opponent this Sunday, Sasha Banks to make her way down to the ring aswell. She would oblige as her music would hit, none of her usual gestures would be shown tonight, just a cold, dark stare right into the eye's of one Bayley.

WWE Official Adam Pearce would be there to take care of this contract signing, needing to have both of these performers to sign on the dotted line by the end of the night. But before this however, they would both share some hard-hitting words, speaking on what this matchup meant to both of them individually, while Bayley may have had ulterior motives, Banks just wanted to put her demons to rest. Following this they would both sign the contract, as the SmackDown Women's Championship match would be made official. After this was done, a fight would quickly brew between the two, which would end in Bayley lightly injuring the Banks' wrist.

Hell In A Cell 2020 - October 25th, 2020

Sasha Banks (c) v. Bayley - SmackDown Women's Championship Hell In A Cell Match

The world of wrestling is buzzing as we approach our semi-main event of the evening, Bayley making her entrance first, the lights dimming, all to be seen is smoke and utter darkness. A shadow reemerging from the darkness is indeed Bayley, who confidently struts down to the ring, gesturing a title belt around the waist. The SmackDown Women's Champion, Sasha Banks is out next, holding onto her wrist after the brawl this past Friday night, still not showcasing any of her usual gestures, just simply staring a hole into her opposition. As she walks down the ramp, and into the squared circle.

Both women staring at eachother, with no love loss at all. After a few moments of this, they would both back into their individual corners, as the opening bell would sound, it echoing throughout Tropicana Field. As the cell would lower, both performers would scowler their surroundings, while Sasha knows this environment, Bayley doesn't, she can possibly use this to her advantage. The two would engage in a collar-and-elbow tie-up to begin the match, looking to feel eachother out in the opening moments of this contest. But squeezing out a little bit, Banks would swiftly attempt a roll-up for the early victory, but would only result in a near 2 count.

Bayley taken a bit back, would do the smart thing, rolling out of the ring. However, Sasha would follow, looking to begin some major offense. But Bayley would promptly grab Sasha's hair, sending her into the cell, as the Champion would begin to scream in agony. Banks rolling around the floor, her wrist still acting up at the moment, near the steel steps now, 'The Role Model' would strike Sasha with a massive boot into the steel steps. The pain would continue, as Bayley has quickly learned how to use this cell as her personal playground. Sending her opponent into the ring, Sasha would slither into the corner, where Bayley would look for a ruthless grounded dropkick, but noone was home.

Now with both women grounded, it was really just a question of who would make their feet first? That question would quickly be answered when Sasha would reach her feet first, as she would pick up Bayley, sending her out of the ring. Once again on the most dangerous area of the ring, this could create a crucial part of this contest, which is exactly what would follow. As Banks stared deeply into her former best friend's eyes, she would leap up, executing a dangerous RUNNING METEROA INTO THE CELL! The ovation of the crowd was enormous, and for the first time in this match, it was truly in the Champion's favor.

Exhaustion beginning to settle in, it seems that we could possibly be getting into the final moments of this contest, as Sasha would groggily go under the ring, looking for a potential foreign object. Assuming that would be smart, as it would be a steel chair, once she lifted it up for Bayley to see, her face would be completely changed. Running back into the ring, Banks would follow, running to strike her with the chair, Bayley would kick the wrist roughly. With the amount of pain inflicted on that wrist already, she would have no other choice but to let go of the steel chair, and Bayley would look to take advantage of this. As she would lock in an imitated 'Banks Statement'.

It would be highly embarrassing if Sasha would tap out to her own finishing maneuver, she would continuously struggle to reach the ropes, quite close in doing so. Just inches away now, with her head flailing in the air, but is able to get to the ropes to cause a rope-break. Bayley would grab both of her opponent's legs, looking to lock the hold once again in the center of the ring, but instead Sasha would be able to kick her way out of it, striking her with a quickly executed DDT. From the corner of her eye, she would spot the steel chair, which she would use to add extra force to the original 'Banks Statement'. While Bayley tried to get out of it, reach the ropes, anything, she was unable to do so and instead would tap out repeatedly.

Sasha Banks (c) def. Bayley to retain the SmackDown Women's Championship (28:23)

It was a war between Sasha Banks and Bayley, and while the latter put forth her best efforts to regain the SmackDown Women's Championship, the former was determined to put her demons to bed. In which she was able to successfully accomplish, as the cell would rise from the ground, Sasha would get up to her feet, as she would be handed her title. With relief on her face, she would lift up the Championship proudly, as she has successfully defended it for the second time.

Road To Survivor Series:

WWE SmackDown - November 6th, 2020

After being given a week off to recover from her grueling defense, she kicks off the show next week, relishing in the fact that she has finally put her greatest rival to bed, in the form of Bayley. But would now have to turn her attention to the upcoming WWE Survivor Series PPV. Every year, each champion from each brand would face eachother, and this year with Sasha Banks finally being SmackDown Womens Champion, she gets that opportunity. A chance to shine against RAW's greatest female competitor, the RAW Women's Champion, Asuka!

She states that Asuka and her have battled numerous times, but that Asuka has always gotten the better of her each time. But with the gears shifted, and having some of her more competitive matchups in the past two months, it's time for that statistic to change aswell. Banks would send a message to her opponent on the 22nd of November, warning her not to take her lightly, but rather to prepare for the fight of her life. Lastly proclaiming to tread lightly, because 'The Boss' is not about to back down, not against one of her fiercest rivals.

WWE SmackDown - November 13th, 2020

Whilst Sasha has made it abundantly clear how much this upcoming battle against Asuka truly means to her, but she must focus on another challenging task. As Banks looks to go one-on-one against the most recent NXT callup, Chelsea Green. Which gives her a perfect chance to impress on her first night on the blue brand, taking on the Women's Champion of said-brand.

Throughout the match, both women would look quite fantastic, but on this night, Sasha Banks would look to send her message to 'The Empress Of Tomorrow'. While Green would have an impressive debut showing, the pressure mounted on Sasha's shoulders would prevail. And in the end, 'The Boss' would put away Chelsea with a wrenching 'Banks Statement', as she looks directly into the camera when doing so. Clearly sending a direct message to the RAW Women's Champion.

WWE SmackDown - November 20th, 2020

On the Survivor Series go-home show, a highly pleasant video package would be presented, showcasing the multiple battles Sasha Banks and Asuka have had over the years. With one thing in common - Asuka ALWAYS coming out victorious. Once this was finished, the video footage would cut to the past emotionally-wrenching couple of months Sasha Banks has had, from winning the Smackdown Women's Championship back at Summerslam, the heinous attacks organized by Bayley, and the successful retention inside the destructive structure known as the Hell In A Cell. Clearly showing that this is a much different boss than ever before.

WWE Survivor Series - November 22nd, 2020

Sasha Banks (SD) v. Asuka (RAW) - Champion v. Champion Match

As one of the most hyped-up matches of the night approaches, the RAW Women's Champion makes her entrance first 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' Asuka, her nonchalant nature carries her down the ramp, her unusually colorful mask, matched with the beautiful strand of gold worn around her waist. Entering the ring, she would gesture for her position to make her way down to the ring, kindly obliging, 'The Boss' Sasha Banks would confidently strut down the ramp, meeting Asuka with a cold stare. Following this, both women would hold up their respective titles, before backing up into their respective corners.

In their past encounters in WWE, Asuka has always prevailed, leaving Sasha to deal with her own failures. With her most recent failure being at Extreme Rules 2019 when both talented performers would battle it out one-on-one, one may think this was a victory, but the selfish actions of Bayley, left this victory tainted. Nonetheless, Sasha looks for a decisive, clean victory here in Orlando, Florida. But in one of her most challenging tasks to date, a victory for her would truly cement the change she has been speaking of the past month or so.

To begin the match, both women would circle around eachother, looking for an easy weakness to exploit. Which Asuka would find quite quickly, centering her attack on Sasha's sensitive shins, switching from the left-to-the-right. While Sasha may have two inches on Asuka, the latter would use her agility to her advantage. But this wouldn't work forever, which would quickly be shown, when one attempted kick would be caught by Banks, as she proceed to twist Asuka's left leg. The physical pain that is currently felt by Asuka would be shown, as she shouted in agony. She would transition this into an ankle lock, a move that Asuka herself frequently uses.

Already near the ropes, for a few moments Banks would wrench the ankle of her opponent, hoping for an early submission victory in this one. But instead Asuka would be able to reach the ropes, as the assigned official would declare a rope-break. Immediately, she would cling onto her ankle, the effect of the hold, clearly damaging a majority of Asuka's arsenal. Following this, Sasha would head up to the top rope, possibly looking to inflict even more damage, but instead Asuka would tip-toe on her ankle, landing a huge forearm on Sasha's left cheek. Now making her way up to the top rope aswell, executing a DARING SUPERPLEX!

With both Champions now grounded, it would be a game of who would reach their feet first, and in a close race, Asuka would get to her feet first. Locking in a cross-arm breaker, now trying to take away some of Sasha's arsenal, as she would stretch Sasha's arm to the fullest extent, and with her arms flailing in the air, it would be transitioned into an ASUKA LOCK! Sasha would look to tuck in the chin, possibly to elevate some of the pressure, but it honestly just made it worse. As the crucial maneuver is not cinched in, Sasha would furiously attempt to escape the hold, but instead she would roll out of it, still having enough energy to keep her shoulders above the ground, while Asuka's weren't, as the count would begin...1...2....3... SHE'S DONE IT!

Sasha Banks def. Asuka (16:20)

A utterly back-and-forth battle between these two Champions sees Sasha Banks finally prevail. putting away her fiercest rival with a shocking roll-up. The shocked look on Asuka's face tells the whole story, as Banks gets to her feet, raising her hands in a triumphant victory. But for her opponent, Asuka would reach her feet aswell, with her head firmly up, offering a handshake to the better woman. Sasha would happily oblige, as Asuka would roll out of the ring after doing so. As 'The Boss' would hold up her lovely gold with utter confidence.

Road To TLC:

WWE SmackDown - November 27th, 2020

Following Sasha's victory at Survivor Series this past Sunday, 'Skys The Limit' would open the show, signaling the arrival of the SmackDown Women's Champion. With a new beam of light on the face of Banks, her recent victory against Asuka continues the path of dominance she has been on since August. Entering the ring, she would grab a mic, continuously looking at the belt draped over her shoulder. Getting ready to speak, she would be quickly interrupted by the... IICONICS!

Their obnoxious laughter would be heard throughout the arena, as both of them would have a microphone by their side. Peyton Royce would begin, saying that Sasha is too confident, too cocky, and that is where they come in. That they have been watching from the sidelines for far too long, while Banks is handed opportunity after opportunity, why? Billie would butt-in, questing that it was because her best friend decided to become a psycho? However from now on, they want to make an opportunity of their own, challenging Sasha Banks to a 2-on-1 handicap match for the SmackDown Women's Championship

WWE SmackDown - December 4th, 2020

Following IIconics' challenge last week, they would be seen knocking abruptly on WWE Official Adam Pearce's office door, after several moments of doing so, the door would finally be opened upon request. He would step outside of the office, closing the door behind him, both Peyton Royce & Billie Kay would begin demanding for the match to be made official, saying that they deserve this opportunity to shine under the spotlight. Pearce would agree, but with one exception, he would deny the 2-on-1 handicap request, but instead would make it a triple threat to make it fair. Exclaiming that it will be every women for themselves, no exceptions.

WWE SmackDown - December 11th, 2020

The IIconics would be seen discussing strategy backstage on SmackDown before their Triple Threat for the SmackDown Women's Championship at TLC, showing that while it may be every woman for themselves, something is most definitely up their sleeves. However, before we could hear some of their strategy, Bayley would interrupt them as she was placed into a Six-Woman Tag match with The IIconics tonight. Bayley exclaimed that she knows Sasha better than anyone, and that when they come out with on top tonight, maybe she could give some pointers to them. There would be an awkward pause before Peyton & Billie burst out into laughter at Bayley, with Royce explaining that she lost to Sasha twice now, so why should they listen to her? Bayley would get angered at this and storm out of the room, on edge now before their tag match later tonight.

As hinted at earlier, Bayley & the IIconics would be teaming up to take on Sasha, Liv Morgan, & Ruby Riott. This will give a chance for the challengers to scout out their opposition ahead of the big night in just 9 days, While they brought extreme intensity and ambition, frankly they didn't work all too well with Bayley, as for the majority of the match, bickering would overtake their sense in the ring. Which would lead to Bayley tapping out to the 'Banks Statement' for the third time this year. However, after the match, the IIconics took it upon themselves to sneak attack Sasha Banks, leaving her helpless in the center of the ring.

WWE SmackDown - December 18th, 2020

On the TLC go-home show, an official contract signing for the SmackDown Women's Championship match would take place. With WWE Official Adam Pearce already in the ring, with the contract in his hand, the IIconics would make their entrance first. Their obnoxious attitudes are respectively presented as they walk down the ramp, and into the ring, gesturing title belts on each of their waists. Next out is the Champion, Sasha Banks, who is the exact opposite of her opposition. As she would cooly make her way to the ring, looking back-and-forth at the golden prize draped over her shoulder as she takes a seat, staring directly at both of her opponents, who sit tightly next to eachother.

Before all three woman would have the chance to sign the contract, they would get the opportunity to explain why they believe they will walk out this Sunday as SmackDown Women's Champion. Royce would begin first, stating that she hasn't had a chance to shine, that it's always been the IIconics, and she doesn't hate that, but - Billie Kay taking that extremely personally, would begin arguing with her counterpart, before Sasha would interrupt. Stating this is exactly why she is walking out still Champion, it's always you two together, but when the sense of competition divides you two, it is easy pickings.

TLC 2020 - December 20th, 2020

Sasha Banks v. Peyton Royce v. Billie Kay - SmackDown Women's Championship

In one of the most intriguing bouts of the night, Sasha Banks defends her SmackDown Women's Championship against both Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. The question for several weeks, has been will the IIconics decide to work together or separate due to the drive of competition? Well that question looks to be answered in just a few moments, as the IIconics come out together, locking hands as they look to claim their first singles gold in WWE. Both once again gesturing title belts around their waist, as they wait the Champion, who a few moments later makes her way out from the back. She confidently makes her way down to the ramp, as her eyes are glued on both her opponents.

Now entering the ring, she raises up her most prized possession, before all three women would make their way to their respective corners. The opening bell would sound, and right from the start, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay would decide to work as a unit, attacking Banks. Stomping on her in the corner, not letting her get any offense in early on here, as they continue on the attack. The obnoxious laughter of the two would echo throughout the arena, as they always had a plan, and this was it. From there, Billie Kay would pick her up, launching her into the corner, as Sasha would fall to his stomach in agony, holding it roughly.

Peyton would look to end it early, as she went for the cover... 1...2... PEYTON IS PULLED OFF BY BILLIE! This is what Sasha warned the two about, that their competition drive would ultimately divide them. And while Banks was still groggy, the IIconics would begin battling it out, back-and-forth, trying to gain an advantage without any disruptions. The engage between the two would end with a running dropkick would send Billie rolling out of the ring. Peyton now following her, she would continue on the attack. But back inside the ring, Sasha was beginning to sir back to her feet, and from the corner of her eye, she would see her two challengers outside duking it out. Which would give her the incentive, to leap off the ropes, and SOAR THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE FOR A SUICIDE DIVE!

Now with all three women grounded, it still was anyone's game. But speaking of games, it was one to see who would make it to their feet first, which would be Sasha Banks. Who would quickly throw the drained Billie Kay into the ring, as she would head to the top rope. She only goes up there for one reason, and that is for the seasoned frog splash. But before she could even attempt it, she would be knocked down from a standing position, to a sitting one by Royce. Entering back in the ring, the IIconics would once again proceed to battle eachother, punch-by-punch, these two weren't looking to give up. And they wouldn't until they were forced to, which was what happened when a spinning heel kick by Peyton would nail Billie on the tip of her nose.

Billie now grounded once more, Peyton would look to pick her up again, but would execute a lovely, but highly sneaky roll-up...1....2... KICKOUT! A very close one for Kay, as she almost became the new Women's Champion, but once he turned back around, another spinning heel kick would meet her demise. Peyton would head for the cover.. 1...2... FROG SPLASH BY SASHA BANKS! Just a second before Peyton would become the new Women's Champion, a frog splash executed by Banks would be connected. However, Royce would roll out of the ring, which would only leave Sasha Banks and Billie Kay. And as the smart competitor the former is, she would go for the pinfall on Kay...1...2...3... A SUCCESSFUL RETENTION FOR 'THE BOSS'!

Sasha Banks (c) def. Peyton Royce & Billie Kay to retain the SmackDown Women's Championship (18:22)

After some expected miscommunication by the IIconics, Sasha Banks was able to successfully retain the SmackDown Women's Championship. She warned her challengers that this very situation would lead to their demise, and it certainly did. Following the closing bell, both Peyton Royce and Billie Kay would roll out of the ring, walking feet away from eachother, obviously some dissension after how things went tonight. But back inside the ring, Banks would relish in another brilliant title defense for 'The Boss'. Proceeding to raise her arm, along with her Championship high up in the air.
