NXT Takeover: New Orleans: NXT NA Championship Tournament finals: Adam Cole with UE vs Roderick Strong

Storyline Recap: Regal announced that at Takeover: New Orleans NXT would be crowning the first ever Northamerican champion through a tournament whose finals would take place at the tournament. Regal also says that not only NXT superstars would be involved in the tournament but also people from other places who came as a part of a deal and that if they won, they'd get a NXT contract alongside the Northamerican Title. Then we see how Strong managed to make it to the final by defeating Mark Coffey, AR Fox and Lars Sullivan cleanly and Cole got to the final by defeating Mark Andrews cleanly, Velveteen Dream thanks to interferences from UE and Dunne by rolling him up while having his feet on the ropes for leverage to get the 3 count and the victory. Finally, we see how Cole tried to numerous time to get Roderick to join UE and Roderick kept saying "no" and on the last show before the Takeover we saw UE attacking Strong and the final image of Strong standing over Strong as he says "Adam Cole BAY BAY!"

The match was 20 minutes long amd we saw how at first Cole tried one last time to get Strong to join him and Strong responded by kicking him on a knee. After that, the match turned to be an story about how at first Cole tried to take down Roderick but Roderick kicked out of everything Cole did (basically, Roderick kicked out of the Last Shot and the Panama Sunrise) which made that Fish and Kyle started to distract Strong (which didn't work all the time as sometimes Strong managed to dodge an attack from Cole and even managed to turn a rollup attempt of Cole into one of his own that almost got him the win) and that basically made that Cole managed to turn the match to his favor as before it had been back and forth (despite Cole being able to hit his 2 finishers and Strong not being able to connect even one). In the end, Cole connected the Panama Sunrise and a Last Shot afterwards before pinning Strong to get the 3 count and the victory.

NXT Takeover: Chicago 2: NXT NA Championship Ladder match, UE are banned from ringside: Adam Cole(c) vs Roderick Strong

Storyline Recap: We see how on the NXT post-takeover Cole enters the ring and says that Roderick despite being tough wasn't able to overcome the numbers game and that he should have accepted UE's offer because maybe that way he could have won considering Fish and Kyle wouldn't have interfered. Then we see Strong entering the ring and telling Adam that he better doesn't get comfortable with that Northamerican Title because he's been talking with Regal and trying to get Regal to give him a NA Title match at Takeover: Chicago 2 and leaves while Cole just lifts the belt. Then we see how Regal announces that Strong will get a NA Title match however he must earn it by defeating Kyle and Fish and UE just laughs since they know Roderick has no partner. Then, later on the same show, we see Roderick entering the ring while UE laughs and then Pete Dunne comes down to the ring and instantly all of UE's faces change onto scared faces. In the end, Dunne and Strong get the job done with Strong pinning Kyle after connecting an End of Heartache. After this, we see (to conclude the storyline recap) that Regal announces that Cole would defend against Strong on a LADDER MATCH and O'Reilly and Fish were banned from ringside for that match so Cole didn't use them to gain control on the match and Cole simply looking at his NA Title and hugging it while looking scared at Roderick.

The match was 22 minutes long and the story told was how Strong focused at first on winning the NA Title until Cole started to pester Strong off until Strong got pissed off, then the story that was told was Strong focusing more on punishing Cole than winning the NA Title (for example: Strong could have used a ladder to climb and unhook the briefcase but instead decided to put Cole through it with a powerbomb). This made that the match was back and forth since as tough as Strong was, Cole knew how to use Strong's anger against him (even if sometimes it ended up with Strong destroying Cole sometimes) and that led to (for example) Cole managing to use Strong's momentum (Strong was running to clothesline Cole over the top rope) to put him through a ladder with a backbody drop. In the end, we saw how Cole decided (to avoid Strong getting up before he could unhook the title) to push Strong off the ladder and THEN CONNECT A PANAMA SUNRISE OFF THE TOP OF THE LADDER!!!. Finally, Cole climbed the ladder slowly (due to his leg hurting like hell) and unhooked the briefcase to retain the NA Title

NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4: NXT Northamerican Title match: Adam Cole(c) with UE vs Mark Andrews

Storyline Recap: We see Regal announcing that the challenger for the NA Title at Takeover: Brooklyn 4 would be decided with a battle royal and then Mark winning to the shock of everyone and then being assaulted by UE. After that, we see Cole cutting a promo on how Brooklyn 4 is gonna be a walk on the park since Mark Andrews is just a plucky little guy who got lucky and someone who he has already beat before, Mark saying that Cole might have beaten him before but now there was something that gave him an bigger chance of winning, Cole asking "what is this thing that you're talking about?", Andrews striking Adam's leg that was in a bad condition (due to the Panama Sunrise off the top of a ladder that he did to Strong at Takeover: Chicago 2), taking out Fish and O'Reilly (who were running to the ring) with an suicide dive and proceeding to assault Cole's bad leg with an chair. Finally, we'd see UE assaulting Andrews backstage and Cole telling him that he might have better odds at winning but that he wouldn't be able to stop the prophecy from keeping it's legitimacy (note: by this point Bobby and Kyle have the NXT Tag Team Titles which they won at Takeover: Chicago 2 alongside Cole holding the NA Title, aka UE is dripped in gold) and then lifting his NA Title.

The match was 19 minutes long and the story told was how Andrews had the control of the match due to Cole's bad leg limiting the speed of his movements or not allowing him to do some things. We also saw Andrews attacking Cole's bad leg. This lasted until the second half of the match when Cole started to wrestle more technically (alongside some interferences from UE) because he knew that Andrews needed to use his speed to take control of the match and keeping him down on submissions would give him the control on the match. In the end, Andrews hit Cole's bad leg against the ring post 3 times, rolled him inside the ring, knocked down Kyle and Bobby (who had grabbed him) with a tope suicida, entered the ring, recieved a superkick from Cole (Cole used his good leg by the way) and then Cole rolled up Andrews while holding the tights (for leverage) and got the 3 count and the victory.

NXT Takeover: WarGames 2: NXT Northamerican Championship match: Adam Cole(c) with UE vs Pete Dunne with Roderick Strong and Mark Andrews

Storyline Recap: We see how Cole enters the ring and says that the prophecy will never be stopped, not even by a bad leg (we see how Cole has his bad leg bandaged). Then we see Pete Dunne coming down to the ring, giving Adam a Bitter End and then lifting the Northamerican Title while Andrews and Strong take down Kyle and Bobby. After that, we see how Dunne says that Cole's days as champion are numbered since what he'd do to his bad leg would be 10 TIMES WORSE than what Andrews was able to do, Cole and UE running to the ring and assaulting Dunne (who tries to fight but ends up succumbing to the 3 on 1 numbers) before Strong and Andrews come to the rescue (even the numbers and Dunne is able to get up and join the fight) and manage to make UE retreat while Cole shouts "THIS IS MINE DUNNE!. YOU HEAR ME?. MINE!!!" and Dunne just does his normal pose (although he does it without biting the NA Title, because it's on Adam's hands, or anything). Finally, we see Cole and Dunne signing the contract before Cole tries to hit Dunne with the belt, Dunne dodging the belt and then putting Cole through the table with a Bitter End.

The match was 23 minutes long and the story told was how Dunne was literally fcousing his technique on destroying Adam's bad leg which by the end of the match was a bloody mess while Cole cheated in an attempt to gain control of the match which was 80% dominated by Dunne and only back and forth at the start of the match. We also saw how UE managed to distract Dunne occasionally, although innthemajority of cases Strong and Andrews were able to stop them. In the end, Dunne tried to keep working on Adam's bad leg but ended up injuring Cole by accident, the ref checked Cole and after seeing how Cole wasn't able to stand up (even with the help of the ropes), decided to stop the match, announce Dunne as the winner and award the NA Title to him

NXT Takeover: Phoenix: NXT Northamerican Championship triple threat match: Pete Dunne(c) vs Bobby Fish vs Kyle O'Reilly:

Storyline Recap: We see Dunne entering to the ring with his Title on his shoulder and then Fish and O'Reilly (who had lost the Tag Titles at Takeover: WarGames 2) attack him from behind and tell him that "it's payback time, b****" before leaving. Then we see Dunne saying that he doesn't care if he faces 1 or 2 challengers because he will retain even if it's against the two members of an experimented tag team, Fish interrupting him and saying that Dunne's reign as champion would end at Takeover: Pheonix since he might be good but he wasn't on the level of his teamwork with O'Reilly and basically was walking onto a handicap situation that was impossible to win, Fish coming face to face with Dunne, Dunne attacking his fingers (like he does irl), Kyle coming to the ring and then Dunne threatening to break Fish's fingers if he got any closer and Kyle staring down at Dunne. Finally, we see how Kyle enters the ring and says that how can people cheer a guy who threatens to break fingers and injures people because he works on their legs, Dunne answering that he might not be an ordinary hero like Strong or Gargano could be, but that how he acts against his targets and who those targets are, is what makes people cheer him and that if Kyle thinks he can try to force him to act more hero-like and not act like he always does, well it's pointless. After that, we see the storyline recap closing with Dunne giving Kyle a Bitter End and then biting the NA Title (while doing his normal pose) as Fish manages to drag away n unconscious Kyle from the ring

The match was 18 minutes long and we saw how through the entire match Kyle and Bobby teamed up on Dunne and never had an argument, not even when they hitted each other by accident. That said, Dunne was still able to hold his own against the two of them which made that there never was someone in control of the match for long. We also saw how Fish and O'Reilly only fighted each other when Dunne was down and also that they were targeting Dunne's left leg (note: Adam's damaged leg and the one that Dunne injured was his left leg) to take payback on what Dunne had done to their leader. In the end, we saw how Fish delivered the Fish Hook to Kyle by accident (after Dunne had ducked to avoid it), Dunne connecting the Bitter End on Fish and then pinning him to get the victory and retain his Nortamerican Championship

NXT Takeover: New York: NXT Northamerican Championship match: Pete Dunne(c) vs Matt Riddle

Storyline Recap: We see how Regal announces that now that Dunne, Strong and Andrews' issue with UE is done, it's time to crown a N1 Contender for the NA Title and it'll be done on the same way the first Northamerican Champion was crowned: via a tournament. Then we see highlights of the tournament and how Matt Riddle defeated Mark Andrews, Keith Lee and AR Fox cleanly to win the tournament. Afterwards, we see how Riddle talks about his path in pro wrestling and how everywhere he's been, he's won titles and been succesful and NXT would be no different, Dunne appearing and telling Riddle that as much as MMA gives you an edge over wrestlers because you have been fighting in the octagon against people who'll try to legit kick your head off your shoulders, it won't matter because this is just his second title defense and just like his UK Title reign, he plans onto making it long!. Then Riddle answers that Dunne might be tough and all, but maybe the only reason he won that Northamerican Title was because he took advantage of Adam's left leg which had been damaged prior due to Adam himself and Andrews and basically ended up breaking Adam's leg and putting him on the shelf to win the title. Riddle then tries to speak but Dunne grabs him and tells him "you're an MMA fighter?. I don't need to prove i'm a rightful champion considering i beat 2/3s of UE on the same match, but i'll do it again if it's necesary Riddle". Finally, we see an image of Riddle and Dunne face-to-face to close the storyline recap

The match was 19 minutes long and the match was at first Dunne trying to slow down Matt by attacking his left leg while Matt used his force to escape of the submission attempts of Dunne. When Dunne's work on Matt's left leg started to be effective (which made that Matt had troubles lifting Dunne to escape from submissions sometimes or doing powerbombs to Dunne for example), Matt decided to go more for an ground n' pound style which gave Matt his advantage due to his past in MMA and put Dunne in trouble who had to switch to an style that mixed strength and technical moves so Matt couldn't ground him so easily and he could keep working on Matt's left leg. In the end, Matt tried to avoid a german suplex from Dunne and although he didn't manage to flip in the air like one would do normally, he fell butt-first on the ring mat due to his left leg giving away. Dunne took advantage of this and connected the Bitter End and pinned Riddle to win cleanly.
