Should I get TEW2020

Long story short I no longer have access to TEW2016 with the death of my old laptop.
I got a new laptop since TEW2020, and was wondering if the new version was worth the price tag.
I poked around a bit in the demo and it feels overall a tad unintuitive.
Also the lack of an ability to filter workers in the editor is an immediate red flag.
I enjoyed TEW 2016 quite a bit, I tend to play real world mods, both modern & historic.
My question is should I invest in 2020 or just double down and get 2016 again?
