That's right, not the novella Pulling the Wings off Angels, which I found alright, but the story found here https://www.beneath-ceaseless-skies.com/stories/playing-god/ . In this story, Parker takes us back to the classical age with a tale inspired by Greek myth. Our protagonist becomes the instrument of a goddess and she intends to use him for something nasty. Now he's got to try to find a way out of it. I liked that this story shows Parker's cleverness as a writer over the cleverness of his characters. Its an enjoyable but quick read and one of the best shorts I've read this year.
