We're back. Kind of. Clearing out the cobwebs. Much stuff broken. Much stuff coming. More details to come. So much spam.

Books with deposed monarchs?
Post Body

The English Civil War and the escape and subsequent return to the throne of Charles II really intrigue me. To a lesser extent Byzantine Emperors like Alexios IV and Justinian II do as well. Please don't recommend Game of Thrones, Witcher, First Law/Age of Madness/ Shattered Sea as I've read and loved these series already. I'd really like something where the deposed royal has to undergo narrow escapes, survive by guile, and retake his throne on the battlefield, but I'm open to any suggestions.
