Fantasy worlds with pre-state societies
Post Body

Armor designs from unfitting eras be damned. Fantasy worlds demanding the most grueling suspension of disbelief are the ones with a nicely cut borders and super documented maps. Especially when set around medieval and and more ancient times. Many ''factions'' function too closely to a proto-state for my liking. Makes the worldbuilding seem weak.
What are good fantasy worlds that are informed by good anthropology. Malazan comes to mind. What else?
