Looking for lighthearted Final Fantasy-esque books

I'm not sure if this is the subreddit for this
I'm a fairly new reader (just started this pandemic), and I've mostly read murder mysteries and cosmic horror. I really wanna read something lighthearted for a change and I think something similar to Final Fantasy 3 or Ni no Kuni would fit the bill. Something childlike in terms of presentation but have actual substance.
