A new K. J. Parker novella, The Big Score came out today.
Post Body

It features Salonius faking his death and trying to start a new life only to come into contact with an unsavory character from his past who is determined to use him to get rich. There can't be any new Salonius' works seeing how he's dead, but what's a little death when a few million gold angels are on the line.

I rate this one 4 stars. Parker recycled a lot of plot points from previous Salonius stories, yet I still found myself chuckling several times, but there isn't really anything novel in this novella. There's a clever story underneath and the usual call backs and easter eggs from his previous works are there. Given that the digital version was only $5 and its fairly short at 83ish pages, I felt it was worth a read. To really enjoy this, as with all Salonius works, Blue and Gold another Parker short, is essential prereading.
