Worried about starting The Stormlight Archive
Post Body

Hi everyone. Long time lurker first time poster.

A little background on my reading history. I grew up reading Stephen King and later picked up on Michael Crichton. After finishing the last book in the main Dark Tower series I wanted to jump into the fantasy genre.

I started with the first two books in the Licanius trilogy by James Islington. These book captivated me and for me were honestly page turners.

Having heard that Brandon Sanderson was a great author I picked up the first Mistborn trilogy due to all of the high praise the books got. The books were good, almost great. I felt that the over-arching story in the trilogy was great and his fight scenes were engaging, but the ending to each book felt "rushed" and unfulfilling.

Finally on to my question: Compared the first Mistborn how does the Stormlight Archive books compare? Should I start reading them or move onto other series?
