Why Conan is not as popular as LOTR?
Post Body

Both are considered the blueprint of a sub-genre of fantasy: epic for LOTR and heroic for Conan, but the first is massively more popular and already had a big community even before Peter Jackson's films. Also, very few sci fi/fantasy booktubers have talked about Conan, but many of them have talked about LOTR multiple times.

It's quite strange that a work as influential and with a more popular (edit: more well known) protagonist than Aragorn or Gandalf is not as popular and loved, imo.
