Hello sluts 🩷 I see lots of posts of creators freaking out that your fyp tanked- clearly I’ve been there and it can be scary but I’ve also seen alot of unnecessary anxiety. Everything is figureoutable y’all- we got this.
For context if you don’t know me I am a fansly only creator (I dabble at other shit but don’t try very hard right now lol) with no outside social media.
So- I rely my entire business off fyp and my existing base I’ve created using fyp only. I know some people in this sub don’t advise this- that’s fine. I’m a firm believer that everyone should make their own business decisions. I just want to be clear the fyp is my bread and butter.
In April and May my numbers hit an all time high. I was transitioning my structure for the summer to be supported by subscriptions only so that I could be available when my family is home. It was super successful and I was scaling very fast- working only 1-2 hours a day with the systems I had in place and maintaining my money.
I had several viral pieces of content - that all tanked at the exact same time at the end of May. I believe this was due to an algorithm update- it happens- so it’s my sign to reset.
That’s my advice. When you see something go left- do not bury your head in the sand- look at what is happening and employ agency.
As you can see in the graph- I had to build my fyp back up. But that was the only problem I needed to solve- I already have so much strength existing in my business. I might not have fyp numbers at that time but what do I have? I have fans. I have a platform. I have the ability to change.
So I leaned into my existing subs and fan base to increase sales in case the drop in fyp effected new subs (it did- I’m at a quarterly low rn). If I’m not going to get new subs I better make sure I don’t neglect the ones I have. Keeping customers is much easier than converting new ones. I created opportunities to connect with me- increasing engagement. That helps me too- when my fans are excited and engaged I am more exited to make content and my content is better.
Next I know that the only thing that matters is if my content is quality- and people see it. So I focused on making quality content and posting it at a consistent schedule with accurate consist hashtags. I did decide to go non faceless during this time so I won’t say that hasn’t affected the rebound. However almost all of my fyp drivers are of my face cropped out.
As you can see my numbers are headed back up- and my subs are rising again. I really haven’t had much of a change in my earnings overall- $300 less from April- May And now I’m rebounded back to my average daily earnings.
So- you can do this. Stick with it. 🩷
