Some background! My hair is to my hip bones, it the strands are fine but its dense af.

Current pros:

Braids look pretty nice

Having long dyed hair gets me a lot of nice compliments

Too heavy to really frizz

Current cons:

The weight causes neck pains, and could possibly be causing flares with my migraines

It's too heavy to hold styles

It drags my face down imo

It's high maintenance (I know styling short hair can be high maintenance, but everything is with my long hair. It tangles as I brush or comb it, even if I'm extra careful)

I'm fairly sure I'd have a wave pattern if it was shorter, and maybe a bit more natural volume

If you guys think I should go shorter, all and any suggestions are super duper welcome. Even drastic ones.
