In the first episode of this season we saw Loki time-slipping, and the episode ended with them adding some device to the time loom to stop that from happening.
If I remember correctly, Loki was slipping forward and backward along the one timeline which the TVA is 'inside of'. I feel like since the sacred timeline is something they maintain from the TVA, they have to be outside it (and all other timelines), but that may not be material to the theory.
The loom exploded when we witnessed the fade to nothing at the end of the last episode. I believe either during that explosion or just before it (since the environment around the loom was so volatile it destroyed Timely almost instantly) the device from episode 1 that stopped the time-slipping was destroy before the fade to nothing, allowing/forcing Loki to slipped back to an earlier moment on that timeline.
Since I'd assume that timeline ends after the fade to nothing, I think what we'll see is Loki trying to change things at various times in the past, only for him to continuously arrive back at that end point, again and again. Growing "wiser" each time (Dr. Strange style).
I feel pretty confident that to this point, the theory is sound. But what happens next is my guess at how it might end - which is all those loops eventually lead him to the the conclusion the only way for him to prevent the end is to go back to when the times-slipping began, which was when Silvie killed He Who Remains, and somehow stop that from happening. In a paradox, it means him ending free will, since that proved to be a mistake.
Apologies - I'm not up on any/all theories if there are any, and I admit my ending is weak. But I hope this gave fans something to think about maybe. Be well.
