I still don't really understand this... was I somehow rude? I don't get it...
I read an Ace Attorney-fic, and as some might know, there's both a village called Kurain in the series, as well as a country called Khura'in, which I agree, they're pretty close.
In the fic, they kept using the spelling for the country, when I was sure they meant the village, but I wasn't sure, so I asked a question, and I even trid to be nice by paring it with a compliment, because I really enjoyed the fic!
My comment:
I REALLY like this AU series, would love to see more dragn Miles!
I am confused about this specific line, though...
“I’m sure he’ll be fine,” Miles said. “I remember… once when he was visiting Khura’in--”
I thought the village Maya is from is Kurain, and that Khura’in is the country from Spirit of Justice?
The comment I got in return:
LOOK theyre exactly the same spelling except for two characters idk how to pronounce in this context and I looked it up on Maya's wiki page and I still wasn't entirely sure so just know in your heart that he went to the same place as canon to fall off a bridge regardless of whether or not I spelled the right one
It just really got to me, because not only did they not even touch on the compliment and only seemed to focus on the question, I just feel like it was pretty rudely formulated? Like, the "LOOK" to me is not something i would ever write to someone I'm not close with, because it seems very aggresive...
I just really don't like the thought of being rude to people, but... I'm not even sure I was? I didn't try to be, at least...
