People point out my grammar mistakes and the such, since they often do it in a rather negative way. While I appreciate the ones who do it in a positive way, I often don't get those. I just got a review with this little gem...
"Dude. You're from the US, English is your first language, you are (YOU ARE, not your) a college professor... Did your (YOUR, not you're) brain go on vacations? I know I'm harsh but this is basic fckng grammar and it's not the only mistake of this sort in this chapter. So dude... WTF?"
First off, yes, I am a college professor. However, I don't teach English or anything, instead I teach mathematics. Second off, I grew up in Russia and have only known English for 4-5 years, so in terms of writing I still make plenty of mistakes.
It just gets me down, because it makes me feel like I've not improved despite trying my best to.
