writing scenes out of order

Post Body
I've always been a stickler for writing scenes in order, but for my latest project I think I might try switching it up and writing the scenes out of order. If you do this, what's the best method? The scenes I have already planned would be in the middle of the story and it feels overwhelming to have to go back and cover everything that happens beforehand.
