Split, Never married but have kids and home.
Post Body

Long story short we were engaged for a long time, had two kids but never married, and bought a home together and vehicles.

On her own she’s low income and eligible for government assistance. We’ve split, agreed to co-parent. 50/50. A month in and that has been going well so far but some things still not settled.

I know I’m responsible to support the children but as we’re not married, will I be required to support her in any way? I’m in California.

Secondly, if/when we sell the home, what would be a fair and equitable split of the sale of the home? I put up the majority of the down payment and paying the mortgage out of my income if that even matters. Her income went towards other expenses when we lived together.
