About 2 or 3 months ago I (17M) called child protective services on my dad (45M) after coming home to my 13 year old brother and I'm doors gone and our rooms trashed. I wasn't sure at first but after calling my aunt, dad side, she had mentioned him being violent and holding a gun to my mom in the past. After that I was kicked out for a few days before coming back. My mom and I have made up, along with the rest of my family. My dad however, has don't nothing but berate and put my brother and I'm names to the ground and essentially disowned us. Yesterday he was arrested for dragging my mom out of the house by her hair and physically kicking her to get out. I was kicked out the next morning, when the rest of my siblings followed suit. Flash forward to about an hour later when I find that my aunt had lied to me and he never put a gun to her but instead shot the TV after everyone had left. (Note: this was before I was born so only details I know are from parents and the others) My parents can no longer legally speak to each other and my dad's side if the family hates us and blames me for it. I feel like they might be right too, I was only trying to help because I didn't feel safe for anyone in that house. Ended up making things worse.
