"Prepare for the future: A next-gen update is coming to Fallout 4! Coming in 2023, this free update will be available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC systems, including performance mode features for high frame rates, quality features for 4K resolution gameplay, bug fixes and even bonus Creation Club content!"
I was so happy until I realised the vanilla survival play through I was finally getting through is now gonna have to wait until next year when I will inevitably start fresh for the update. One day I will get to play nuka world and far harbour.
Don’t think 120 would be possible. I don’t have a clue because I’m not a developer, but I remember lots of people saying something along the lines of the physics being tied to the fps and things start acting unexpectedly at high frames.
This thread explains it better than I could: https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/3153060475185479681/
Well yeah, but ps5 is still at 30fps currently and when you look at the whole sentence you mentioned, it’s just describing that performance mode has higher fps than quality mode.
Would be great if the resolution didn’t dip on the series s, fps boost is great but the resolution sometimes takes a noticeable hit.
Would also love to be able to go through Boston without worrying about losing hours of progress on survival mode to a crash.

Yeah got them but in this play through I haven’t been down as far as vault 88 yet let alone the glowing sea and I need to of been there before to use vertibirds.
