Hello all. This might be my first post here.
I'd like to connect with folks in Kansas, especially those East of and including Salina and West of and including KC. I'm near the Topeka area.
I joined N-A-F-A and KHC, got my books and manuals (NAF 9th ed. and CHC guide and reference manuals), got my falconry packet from Pratt, KS, and I dont know where to go next.
It sounds like some sponsors want you to have your examination test done, some won't take you if you already have it. I'd like to hear from people around me, since that's who I hope to work with.
It also sounds like some sponsors dont take younger apprentices (I'm almost 30), and some others won't take you until you've worked with them for a season or two. Again, instead of here say and scuttlebutt from the forums and pages out of many states across the U.S., I'd prefer to hear from those local to me.
I would love to hear any tips/advice/answers to these questions, and I would love to connect with local falconers.
I also joined the Kansas Hawking Club page on FB if you prefer to connect on there for messenger, etc.
Feel free to ask me questions too.
