It's my first time playing a game from this franchise. I checked this subreddit for other posts regarding difficulty, but most would compare the difficulty to other games of the franchise, which I can not relate to.

I play on switch so I will not be able to switch (lol) difficulty by doing some savegame manipulation as it was stated in some other posts.

What I want is a challenging experience, but not borderline as some like. I don't mind having some tough battles as long you usually get your way through by using tactics correctly.

So far I would lean towards nightmare from what I read, but wanted to be sure, since I cannot change later.
