Our sub is for anyone who has fair to light olive undertones, overtones, and/or identifies with olive related beauty advice and issues. This means even if you are not olive but relate to olive undertones, you are more than welcome here. We will not turn away anyone who can still relate or refer to our sub for help.
Our name is fair olives, and we typically define fair as approximately NC15 or paler. But we also welcome those who identify as light depth (about NC15-NC30). We understand people may tan throughout the year. If your tanned skin contributes to the olive discussion, we are open to that too.
Basically, we are an olive-focused beauty sub with most of our members being very pale. We understand there are not a lot of resources out there for olive undertones out there. If you fall outside of the fair to light depth, we're happy to help, but keep in mind the majority of us are more familiar with paler depths.
We are a friendly group of mods who want to help the pale olive community. We want everyone who visits /r/fairolives to feel safe and welcomed.
We will not tolerate hate speech, harassment, and bullying. We also do not allow gatekeeping and disrespectful comments. There is no clear definition of what makes someone and olive, and everyone is entitled to their opinions. But please do so respectfully, and only when your opinion is requested. Breaking these will result in a warning, and then a ban if it continues."
