I tried to run auto placements a few times, but every time my ads are placed on Facebook more than on Instagram and there is a problem, which is that the CPM is too high.
Just a few days ago, I thought I should let Facebook’s algorithm run itself since I have got no sales running ads mainly on Instagram, so I decided to use auto placements one more time before going to sleep. After I woke, I checked the campaign and found the CPM on Facebook was $58 and on Instagram it’s only $7. I also found that it had spent $17 to only reach 550 people in like 6 hours.
Of course I turned off the ads. I have no idea why it’s so expensive on Facebook. If I kept the campaign running, I might end us with spending $100 and only reaching 3000 people with out any sales.
