I figured this would be the best place to ask, I'm building a game currently that takes inspiration from a few of my favorite RPGs and fable is a big one for me. My absolute favorite part of Fable's art was the ~feeling~ of each environment (if that makes any sense?)
The best example I have for that is the area around the Chapel of Skorm. You are safe here. Absolutely totally safe. Definitely absolutely totally not gonna get trashed by balverines.
.....but it ~feeeeels~ like you are.
I don't know if I can recreate this but I really really want to.
So, what in your opinion are the best/worst parts of Fable's style and environment? I'm mainly referring to the first Fable, but any opinions help!
