24 trans man here. I live in NJ and my state is very blue and very pro LGBTQ . Already did my legal name change and have a new driver's license and birth certificate with new name and gender on all my legal documents says male, and I'm in the process of getting a new passport. I'm getting top surgery on December 20th through private health insurance, and I get my testosterone through Plume, a private organization that provides HRT access through an out of pocket paid membership. Am I mostly safe? I've been thinking I'm deeply privileged to be in the situation I'm in, but am I being naive? I'm very anxious and just want to know if I'll be relatively safe before I start panicking. Regardless, I'm officially in my activist era. But any insight would be greatly appreciated.
