I was having a conversation with an old friend, came out to them as a transguy and a full conversation pursued. He told me I was I different when we met and were close 15 years ago. He doesn't believe that I'm trans naturally, he thinks events that have happened in my life has made me trans. He thinks if things in my past were different I'd just be happy. He also believes that I just have a bad body image of myself and this is why I want to transition.
My personal thoughts on this are that most people that aren't happy with there bodies don't want to transition genders. They want to enhance what they have. They don't feel like they're in the wrong body, and want to change names and pronouns. I'm just curious what your thoughts are, nature vs. Nurture??? Or do you think both play a part in it?
