I am worried that my fitness journey will be negatively affected by my sleep disorder. I take sleeping pills but I guess I've become immune to those as they do not seem to help. I want to emphasise that this is something I've had to deal with my whole life so I really don't need any "no screens before bedtime" advice. I am also well-aware of the health risks of insomnia so please don't paint any devils on the wall.
(Sorry to sound tense, that's just life-long frustration talking, I do appreciate everyone's input tho!)
What I do want to know is how much sleep do I need to make sure I get the optimal progress. As I've had a really bad period with sleep recently, I've been just lying in a dark room listening to audio books, writing at my desk, reading in dim light in the living room... You know, stuff that lets my body rest even if my brain just never shuts down. What I'm thinking is... Is this useless?
