/u/kuroiniji dislikes Lori Heise (and reality)
Post Body

FRD's First Law: A single critical reading of a kuroiniji submission will prove it is full of shit. Corollary: Yet it will be showered with upvotes and no MRA/egalitarians will criticize.

He'd be wrong about everything except he mostly posts about a single researcher named Lori Heise.

1. kuroiniji claims Lori Heise and other feminist researchers advocate lying. They did the opposite. Called out in top comment. [Submission score: 18, 76% approval.]

2. kuroiniji claims Lori Heise is unethical because she thinks research raises awareness for activism. Every comment chain calls him out. [ 10, 68%]

3. Lori Heise suggests enforcing laws against violence and making violence socially shameful would combat violence. This would be like any other crime; Law Enforcement doesn't want it to be "cool" to steal cars. But kuroiniji says this is tantamount to abusing perpetrators. [ 44, 83%]

4. Lori Heise thinks the social norms around partner abuse are different for male victims than female victims, and thinks they deserve separate research. kuroiniji thinks this is unethical because she only studies women, even though that's a logical consequence. Even a mod (1gracie1) calls this out. ( 46, 79%)

5. Again, kuroiniji thinks Heise's research cannot be taken seriously if it narrowly studies violence against women without also studying violence against men. [ 27, 76%]

6. kuroiniji claims a study that only looked at married couples did so to deliberately hide male victims. In the comments he explaims how it's Lori Heise's fault. Turns out it hides more female victims in both absolute and relative (to men) terms. [ 13, 66%]

7. Lori Heise says women are likelier than men to be abused by a partner. kuroiniji mistakenly thinks he disproves this by showing "partners" are the likeliest category to abuse men. [ 10, 67%]

Feel free to add, which I know you can if you've read any other submission.

I've included vote totals. For comparison the last "feminist" leaning submission is a Guardian article at 6, 67%. Top comment [ 38] basically thinks she's right but protests that an English prof isn't qualified to write about feminism (no irony detected).

An endless smear campaign lying about one feminist gets more support (and compliments in comments) than any generic feminism submission. Even after it's called out, even after his record speaks for itself.

FRD would rather be lied to and demonize a feminist than to actually talk to one.
