So for some context, when I first start regularly playing FPS games on PC, I always sat at an angle due to the desk I was stuck with at the time. About several months ago, when I first started getting into aim training, I noticed I would get some pain from sitting at and angle and playing for extended periods of time. For the past 6 or so months, I've been learning how to play while sitting at a more straight and forward angle towards my desk. Overall I would say my aim is without a doubt much better now as I am currently using Voltaic Diamond Fundamentals to train. However, I recently tried to sit at an angle again just to see how I would do and I did substantially better despite sitting straight towards my desk for the past several months.
Is this normal for some people? Like regardless of how much I train I will always just perform better while sitting at an angle? For additional information I have quite long arms as I'm around 190cm tall and specifically one of the biggest things that I feel improves when I sit an angle is my speed. I've actually incorporated the Voltaic issue routines into my aim training by changing sens' and fov's depending on what scenarios I'm doing during the fundamental routines. Despite this I still feel like my speed is significantly better when sitting at an angle compared to when I try to sit perpendicularly.
If anyone has any insight, advice, or even just comments they would be appreciated greatly as I want to know if I should continue trying to improve sitting straight or just go back to sitting at an angle and focus on improving my posture to prevent that pain I used to get. Thanks.
