Would anyone here want to purchase an open hardware FPGA, where the design of the chip was made public under an open license?
What would you use it for? What features would it need to have (for example: number of LUTs, anything at all besides LUTs on the chip)? How many would you need for your application? How much of a premium, if any, would you be willing to pay for an open hardware chip over whatever Xilinx or Lattice is selling?
Would compatibility with existing open source toolchains (I.e. IceStorm) be important to you?
