How to use

This is pretty simple, but I'll go over for ya noobs, you pros can skip to the second section. The shock tower is a fast firing, crowd control unit that easily takes out trash and stuns enemies after a few hits. The current best way to use it in my opinion is by using phase shift to get in and out of trouble fast. Another tip with using it is to use charge fragments on teddy if you have both abilities, and use seismic smash as another CC ability when shock tower is on cooldown.

Perks for shock tower

•Shock specialist, increases damage •Wild fragment, shock tower applies affliction •Shockblaster, increases impact •Trailblaster, increases duration

Viable perks for fragments

•Fragment flurry, elimination threshold will grant a fragment •Tedd shot, headshot elimination threshold will grant a fragment (Old glory decreases cooldown with a fragment but isn't worth it on a shock tower build as it just burns through fragments faster and wastes a perk slot)

Who to use

My take on wild frag v shock specialist(the best two shock tower heros)

Assuming you use capacitater your shock tower gets 11 normal hits and 8 affliction hits, both shock spec and wild frag use the base tower damage and multiply off that. The only team perk that currently affects shock tower is Preemptive strike so we will assume you are using that. With all of this in play let me give you the damage equations and terms. X=shock tower damage without mods H=number of hybrids in your squad

Shock Specialist (2.08X•11) [1.5X•(8 H)]

Wild Fragment (1.33X•11) [2.5X•(8 H)]

In order to calculate the difference in damage that shock specialist has over wild frag with Preemptive strike use the following equation

(2.08X•1.32)-(1.33X•1.32)

Plug whatever numbers into each equation and see the results, not only does shock specialist win, but he also has a higher dps.

In conclusion shock specialist does a slightly higher amount of damage and has a higher dps. Personally pick what you want based on abilities, wild fragment has teddy which is nice if you like that, and shock specialist gets extra CC with seismic smash. If you are a filthy min-maxer like me then you will pick shock specialist otherwise choose who you want.
