Hey everyone,

New to the sub.

I was diagnosed as having IBS when I was in my late teens, I'm 47 now. Up to now I've pretty much activated my core and sucked in my stomach to hide the massive bloating I get, which in turn is causing my body unnecessary stress. So I'm on a mission to get to the cause of what foods trigger me. I exercise well and drink plenty of water.

I'm going to eat pretty simply for about 4 weeks, all foods that are ok with FODMAP, before reintroducing foods one by one.

My question is this, and I know it will vary from person to person, but on average how long does it take before I should start noticing a decline in symptoms (bloating / loose stools)?
