I am considering medical tourism for FMT

Edit: if you are down voting me when I ask for evidence for suggestions that people are giving you're not helping. We shouldn't just assume that some things will work for every person and the only way to figure out which things work for which people is starting with evidence and using science to figure out what works.

Had a phone call with a doctor who runs a clinic in Mexico that does FMT treatment for autistic kids. I don't want to link this site here because I feel like I'm doing free marketing for it but if you want to know the site feel free to ask I will put it in the comments.

I'm just frustrated with the medical community's lack of ability to treat this condition. I had brain cancer surgery in 2014 with a year of follow-up chemo and I noticed that I was suddenly sensitive to onions and garlic after the chemo. Also lactose - but my father and mother have no lactose sensitivity. I remember one day in particular where I had some caramelized onions with my breakfast and it was so tired that day that I had to take two naps and also was tired the next day. Two naps in one day is something I don't even do if I have a cold.

I've been taking probiotics here and there for years. They help a little I talked to my GI doctor about getting tested for SIBO but she doesn't think that it will actually work. The doctor that I talked to this morning says that SIBO treatment can be helpful but if you don't treat the dysbiosis in the large bowel it will just come back. No idea if that's accurate or not.

I don't know how much it costs or anything like that so this is all very preliminary.

Have any of you done this? Any of you heard horror stories about it?

I am a regular poster in this but I'm using an alternate account.
