Tips on good sounds for basslines?

I’m trying to figure out how hip hop gets these deep prominent basslines I love. Examples are songs like Gone by Kanye and rusty by Tyler. The boobass plugin in FL studio just doesn’t do that trick. Do I have to download some vsts to get the sounds that I want? if so, please let me know which ones!
