In the past, a person with more than one home could acquire a handgun in Florida by showing a deed, lease, car registered, titled and insured in Florida or similar. It appears now that one must have a Florida DL or ID card or Hunting and fishing license; both which require the DL or ID. The BATFE still has available their ruling 2010-6 but I guess State law supersedes. Am I correct or is there still a way to acquire a handgun for those of us with 2 legitimate homes? 2010-6 - State of Residence | Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (atf.gov)
