Sorry...but I need to check with other players if what I think about "the last part" of the game, and how it's driven history-wise, is thought by other players.
I'm going to talk about A LOT of spoilers, please, don't read this if you haven't played until chapter 15.

...so, there are a lot of things plain wrong with this game. A lot. But since chapter 9, the game goes absolutely wrong.
First of all, I'll say that I didn't read any spoiler before playing, so I didn't know that when you took the ship, you cannot go back. The game tells you that "you will stay away for a while", but it should say something like "you will never come back, so just fucking do everything!". It's completely absurd that you will be forced to procede to the end at, well, ¿1/2 of the game?. By level, you'll se that moment about level 32-35 easily. I have never played a JRPG that force this kind of shit. Usually you will see monsters with a lot more level than you, and then you'll know that you have to train!
Well, anyway the history is great...I don't really care when it happened, because I didn't know what will happened later, so I was just having a good time.
When you get to Tenebrae, that was the perfect time to let you come back. They could have give you the chance to came back with the flying ship of Arcanea. They could have told you that you will not came back, somehow, and then give you the chance to go to the mainland. The empire is broken, and the boss can wait for you to train. It was easy to give the option there!
Anyway, after that...the game goes absolutely wrong. The part of the mako reactor looks like its , somehow, cloned from the earlier part of the FF7 remake...its just so different from the rest of the game that doesn't feels like the same game...
When the floor broke, and you fell where the body of crappyroth is...its so lame!. He is one of the main secondary characters, and you just find him dead...and its just lame like "oh, its dead...meh, I don't care". Why kill him off-screen like that? 0 epic. So weird!
Then the thing about Prompto being a clone, its like "hey, a clone, lets freak out for about 1 min, and forget"...its like they rush the script so much that they just thought to give him some kind of background at the last moment!
And then, one of the worst things! You left your friends fighting against a demon horde, going down an elevator, run as hell, went to the crystal, get inside...and then they get there a moment later!!! How could they get there?! If felt so wrong at so many levels...
Then you wake up 10 years later, on a island...and the boat is there! Why? Did Bahamut drove the boat for you to go back? Why it is there?
And when you finally go back...everything is apocalyptically changed. Then you know that you have no way back. If feels so wrong. Every FF has the opportunity to go back before the last boss. Here, you are alone, rush to your friends...and then? A welcome, 2 vendors, and a gate to the end.
Seriously, it just feels so wrong at so many levels, that I cannot believe it. I did look for info then, with the hope of it being a dream or something...but when I saw that it was just "the end"...fuck...
I love a great part of the game, I wanted to love it so much after so mane years waiting! I even defended the first part of the game, even being so badly written for those who didn't saw the movie! The mid part of the game is GREAT! But...that decision with the boat...I can't believe how badly informed it was!
Now I'll end the game like this, and wait for the dlc for the "new game plus"...but I'm so disappointed that it will cost me a lot to start again.
