[OG + REMAKE Spoilers] Potential Story Changes in Part 2
Post Body

So I was replaying OG recently. Got up to Costa Del Sol and I was thinking to myself that there could actually be a few changes to OG 7's plot.

My main focus will be passing through the Marshes to avoid Midgar Zolom.

The biggest change I see coming a lot with Part 2 and further on going forward with the plot of the Remake is Sephiroth's presence within the plot. In the original we barely know anything about Sephiroth save for the Nibelheim Flashback and tales of his strength. One of the first feats of Sephiroth's strengths we encounter leaving Midgar is the deceased corpse of a Midgar Zolom with its head skewered through a large tree

I think it's fair to say we won't see this anymore given we've seen how strong and powerful Sephiroth is already by directly confronting him in battle at the end of Part 1. In OG's case a lot of the plot focused on the mystery and the legends surrounding Sephiroth and his status as the most powerful SOLDIER.

I actually see the Marshes being turned into a proper dungeon with the Midgar Zolom as the boss of the dungeon for Part 2. Because I say it's safe to say story wise within the Remake Cloud and the gang is much stronger then they were at this point compared to the Original Games timeline but at the same time Sephiroth is also much stronger then he originally was and if this is Sephiroth from the OG Timeline with knowledge of the original games events as most theories point towards he would probably not bother wasting his time with the detour through the Marshes and Mythril Mines and head straight for Junon with Jenova's Corpse in hand.

Anyways it's just something small I noticed as I was playing and honestly I think it would be interesting to explore the actual Marshes while riding our Chocobo's and trying to avoid being the Zolom's lunch. It could be a potentially interesting dungeon with a thriller theme of not knowing when the Zolom might pop out to scare us or strike.
